If the cartridges are new still its not printing then its the printer problem for sure.if the main board of the printer is not get it repaired as its too costly near to new printer.just get it checked.

I change printing inks, but the yellow color does not print note, I've cleaned up several times but to no avail Please do reply with thanks

Ink printers mixed all the colors to print one color. If your hello isn't printing properly than it may be your other colors that need changing. When you open up your printer to change the inks remove you inks and there may be a latch of some sort depending on your model. Remove the print head that was held in place by the latch and clean with a cloth. If this doesn't work you may need to buy a new printer. Print heads are very expensive to replace and not worth the cost for a new printer

PF Pro printing pale blue instead of black

you are printing composite black instead of pure black.
Still problem is the print head not getting all inks (may be air, or you didn't remove some seals on the inks/print head.

I would check to make sure that the contacts on the cartridgew sensors are not fouled with dried ink. A q-tip with rubbing alcohol should help to remove the dried ink if that is in fact the problem.

I have put new inks into my printer epson dx4450 and I cant get the black to print? I have tried 2 new black catridges.

Please forgive me for suggesting the most simple of solutions, but.....many times, people forget to remove the tape that covers the ink ports on a new cartridge. If you have already done that, forgive me for thinking in such a simple manner.

What you can do is take the ink cartridges out of the print head and remove the printhead. Hold the print head over a trash can and take some 409 cleaner and spray the little pads inside the print head til you start noticing the colors dripping into the trash can. You will them want to dry off the print head as much as possible and litely wipe off the outside and the bottom of the print head with a paper towel. Then reseat the printhead back into the printer and the inks. You will then want to run a nozzle check from your printer software or from the printer properties. If the inks still are not showing up run one or two cleanings. If the issue still persists then you might have to replace the printhead. If this is the case you can look up part number: QY6-0059-000 online to replace the print head.

Ink keeps smearing on the paper. What do I need to do and stop this from happening.

Remove the inks and if there's a printhead, remove it and check underneath, paper fibers and pet hair can cling to the printhead smearing ink everywhere. When the inks are in the center check on the right side for any paper scraps caught over there. Check your paper too, plastic coated paper doesn't let the ink sink in and you can't print on a CD unless it has a paper label.

How to remove the print head?

When you lift the lid like you're changing inks, you will see on each side long plastic covers that pop out, all the wires and the ground wire have to be removed and then you can set the whole top aside, after that there's several phillips screws that come out and you lift the middle cover off. The printhead is exposed at this time and the tubes come off, and the drive belt. The head will lift off the left side of the rails. Good Luck!

New Canon printers have a one year warranty, and sometimes the new printheads need a couple cleaning cycles to get ink flowing. You also need to make sure and remove the tape that covers the vent hole on top of the inks.
