Question about Fuji FinePix S700 Digital Camera
Can the fuji s700 support a 8gb card
The S700, as it was available when I bought mine, will only accept up to 2 gig cards, and that is the MAX due to firmware constraints built into the camera. A "flash" for the cameras BIOS is available from FujiUSA that will enable the camera to accept 4 gig cards (no higher). You must use the FinePix program that came with the camera and the cord that was also supplied. Make sure that you have fresh batteries in the camera as you do NOT want it powering down during the flash. If this has helped, please rate it accordingly. thanks and good luck.

Hi there and welcome to FixYa.
The maximum RECOMMENDED by the manufacturer is 2gb. But that doesn't mean you can't give it a shot. Not too much is going to happen. The only thing that may happen, is that it might not format properly. Remember, you have to fomat the card IN the camera before you use it. And...remember you can only use XD and SD cards. Have fun with your camera.
