Question about Whirlpool Washing Machines

Rock or change in tub of whirlpool duet sport

One of my kids left either change or a rock in pants and it made its way in the tub outside of the basket because when I spin the drum I can hear it moving. Not sure where to start to try and open up the machine. Looking for some suggestions...
Thanks,
Jim

Thanks for the suggestions. Since I am a little concerned about trying to tear the thing apart and get it sealed up correctly when I put it back together, I will probably call whirlpool and have them send someone out to fix it.

You wont beable to gain acess to the outer tub on this machine. Not easily any way. perhaps the change is just stuck with in the inner paddles of machine?? in which case youll need to break off the old ones and replacetehm with new ones. the only other acess point for this is throug a small 3 inch hole directly under the tub( its where teh pump to tub hose connects" ifyou remove ht elower acesspanel you see the hose

I have a whirlpool duet sport washer that is leaking from the back. we just replaces a screw that hold sthe drive motor up bc it broke. it looks ike the water is dripping by there.

Possible that the tub is cracked or there is a dent which must be checked. if the leak, is visible and comes from the tub you can use some good sealer with glue to stop the leak. this can be polished off. You also try with silicon sealing which comes in small tubes and can fix this leak.

I have a duet ht. Whenever I set it to do any wash program, it progresses perfectly until the 1:00 minuet mark. Then it just rocks back an forth forever. If I then switch it to "drain &...

The program must be detecting over sudsing. How much detergent are you using? Are you using HE?
If not then the motor will over amp, heatup, and, lock up. If soap is not the issue then you have objects between the tubs causing the problem. Duet sport service manual

My whirlpool duet sport is going through a wash cycle and sounds like there are hundreds of rocks in it.

Overfilling loads can cause small objects like pins, coins, and small socks to get between the tub abd Basket of your washer.

The basket is held onto the rear half of the outer tub simply by the bolt to the main pulley.
Remove the bolt, remove the pulley, and the basket shaft should slip right out of the bearings of
the rear tub.

Simply shining a light around between the basket and outer tub should confirm that there is something in there, since you have access to do this with
the front tub removed. Go ahead, remove the pulley and bolt, and if
the basket comes out, then check everything out.

If it doesn't, don't try pounding it out; stop there and go to plan B, which is a new basket
and tub assembly.

you have an article of clothing stuck between the tubs. run your hand around between the tubs and you will probably find something at about the 11:00 o' clock position.

Whirlpool Duet Sport Error Codes?

My machine had the F21 code and the inlet to the pump was blocked with change, bobby pins, small rocks, pieces of fuzz and clothing. Removed the front cover of the mahine and removed the cap on the front side of the pump and cleaned this trap area out. The pump motor quit humming and the machine worked like it is supposed to!

Thanks
