Question about Kenmore 64254 / 64252 / 64259 Top Freezer Refrigerator
The ticking noise is the icemaker motor. during ice harvest there is a time whne the icemaker motor "stalls" out against the ice before the ice releases into bucket. its during this time the motor is making the noise. this is a sign of motor gear wear. the motor module on the front of your icemaker needs replacing the part number is 8201515 and should run 60-80 dollars. this part is easily replacable. remove front i/m cover and there are 3 phillips screws that hold the module in place.
Hope this answers your question. any furhter questions just leave a comment here and I'll be glad to assist any way I can.. Peyton
