Hello,

I had exact same problem with RTH7500. Did not set the date properly at the beginning and than realized that there is no menu option to change the date after it is saved once (???!). I was very confused for few hours and wandering - trying to find changing option on thermostat menu; than I was looking online what can be done... I could not find solution...

Than I took out both AA batteries, open the thermostat (be very careful while doing this - you don't want to break plastic peaces that hold the thing together) and took out the button battery thinking that this will reset the thermostat... but it did not.

I repeated the same thing, but this time, while the button battery was out, I put two AA batteries back and this reset the thermostat... the old - blinking date appeared and I was very happy to see this on thermostat screen! This time I set the time properly and it works fine.

:)

Hope this will be helpful if you did not solve the issue yet... if you did, someone else might find this solution useful.

Thank you for the tip. The trick is you have to leave the button battery out long enough so the date info is erased. Do not know how long is needed, but a minute may be enough. I followed the instruction above, and took both sets of battery out for more than a minute, the date was reset.

How to wire Honeywell thermostat RTH7500 from old Weathertron GE

You have a control board on your furnace, there is a 3 amp fuse there, that 3 amp fuse needs to be replaced. You most likely touched a wire even by accident and blew the fuse. You will have to remove the door \panels to get at it. It looks like a normal car fuse

I have installed a honeywell programable thermostat that has been working well until the outdoor temp reached higher temps. Now it continuously blows like a fan and does not cool the home.

Sounds like the t-stat is wired wrong or if you bought a honeywell from home depot didn't set up correctely. You could also have other issues, like low on freon, dirty filters. You might need to call a Service company to take a look at it.

My heat pump won't cool my house. I have a honeywell rth7500 programmable therostat. It is blowing cool air out of the outside unit and the lines are normal temp.

Warm air should be blowing out the outdoor unit. Have a technician evaluate if the compressor is functioning. There are many reasons why the compressor is not working. One of them being a start capacitor not working. Another being out of Freon due to a leak. Good luck

Honeywell 6300 programable thermostat instalation

The thermostat is a low voltage circuit (24 volts) most of the newer heating systems have a fuse for the low voltage controls. If you are having to re-set the high voltage circuit breaker, then you have something else wrong. When does the breaker trip? while its running or after it shuts off?
