Drop the front bottom panel and you can then access the ignitor.

Kenmore gas dryer #41793142300 electronic start doesnt heat up


if you first have heat and then like 10 to 20 minutes later no heat you could have bad gas coils,on most gas dryers there's a plastic cap you can pop off on the front panel so you can look in and see the ignitor,if at first the ignitor glows orange and the flame lights then after a few minutes the ignitor glows orange and the flame doesn't light you have bad gas coils,they are located on the top of the gas valve,easy to change.part number 5303931775 go here and look at part 71

I have a Kenmore gas dryer model # 97590140 that have stopped heating. Change the fuse and it still does not heat up. Please help.


do you see the ignitor glow?
if no you have a bad ignitor
let me know if you need more instruction

Kenmore 70 series gas dryer (Whirlpool model) will not ignite!!!!

I have a kenmore 400 series dryer model no heat


Srart by pulling each thermostat wires and tape them together until you find the bad one. You should have 3 of them to test.

First, why do you think ignitor. In all the dryers I fix only 1 dryer in 999 need the ignitor replaced.... Hit me back before midnight for more help........
