Question about Maytag LSE7806A Top Load Stacked Washer/Dryer
Washer/ Dryer shuts down periodically (more frequently of late) and control panel is dead (cannot activate anything) except for the '9E' error. Only way to reactivate is to pull the fuses in the house's main fuse box and re-insert. Note, the fuses do NOT blow. Occasionally, even pulling and reinserting fuses does nothing and control panel remains completely dead. After leaving the system inactive for a while and retrying over and over again, it eventually restarts. We have varied the load sizes and run washer and dryer separately, but problem keeps recurring on a periodic basis. I've cleaned the inner workings of the washer/dryer to ensure no dirt/dust accummulation is interfering with anything. Not sure if it's time for a service call?

SOURCE: seperate washer and dryer
Unfortunately, your washer and dryer are part of a "laundry center". Which means, the two together are one system. They cannot be separated. You can still use the dryer, obviously. Have you considered fixing the washer?

You will need to replace the lid switch assembly, not just the fuse. Below is a link that will go directly to an enlarged image of what you need, along with ordering and shipping information.
Note: Lid switch adjustment may be required when installing new kit. If instructions do not come supplied with the kit, post me back and I will try to guide you through it.

Hello, on most Maytag units you can take the the front panel off by removing 2 phillips screws , 1 on each side of the front panel. With the panel off you can run the machine and see where the water is coming from. Good luck

There is a micro switch next to the fuse. It is shorted out. Replace the micro switch and solve your problem.
