SOURCE: How to remove a back panel of maytag neptune dryer?

You have a choice for which side front door should be on this model. There are 4 screws on front door. Take all 4 screws and pull down the front panel. You will see two metal parts each side which holds top panel. Remove two screws and metal parts. Now you can push up the top panel.

SOURCE: How to remove a back panel of maytag neptune dryer?

Catriver was right on the mark. Took a little bit of doing but I was able to fix the problem myself within 30 mins, and saved some money. Many thanks. I'd like to expand Catriver's solution a bit.

I found a layer of lint on the inside bottom of my dryer. With the face off of the dryer, it proved to be a good time to vacuum the lint out and reduce the potential of fire.

SOURCE: Dryer Paddle Loose

Take the four screws, out of the door and remove it. The front of the dryer will fold down and lift off, you will be able to see in side the dryer. If you want to lift the top remove the screws that are now exposed. Along with the brackets the top will now lift up.

This should allow you to access the tumbler.

SOURCE: My Maytag dryer has a loose dryer drum baffle.

unplug Dryer, open door, Remove two door hinge screws going into front panel, remove two screws on opposite side. Grab front panel on upper sides and twist and pull front panel out. Panel sits on two clips at bottom so you have to tip panel out to unhook from the bottom. You will see a metal hook with two screws in it that holds down the top of the dryer on each side. Remove the screws and hook bracket. Make sure you note how it reinstalls. Top will now lift up and lean back against a wall. It is hinged in back. You can now easily get to the drum baffle screws. Good Luck, Appliance Specialists

Broke fins/tumblers

This is an easy fix. You need to pop the top of the dryer up to do so. Depending on the model you may have to take the front off (older models), or just locate the clips located on the left and right side under the lid, and with a flat head screw driver push them in and lift up. (newer models). After you have the top up, located the baffle thats broken and install. Keep in mind that if the baffle is loose its more than like the hole where the screw goes is stripped and the whole baffle should be changed.

Need to replace a baffle that broke off . MED9800TKo model baffle broke off insde on the dryer drum

Remove the top panel to access the outside of the drum where the baffle securing screws are found. Remove the three hex-head screws from the rear flange of the dryer's top cover the lift the rear of the cover and slide it back so the tabs clear the catches on the bracket and remove the cover from the unit.

Turn the drum until the baffle screws are on top then remove the screws and the baffles. Install the new baffles then the top cover. Make sure that the tabs slide under the bracket catches when you reinstall the top cover. The top cover screws have nylon flat washers on them. Be sure to use these screws when you reinstall the top cover.

BAFFLE INSIDE THE DRUM IS LOOSE. HOW DO I TAKE FRONT OF CABINET OFF SO THAT I CAN GET TO OUTSIDE OF DRUM TO TIGHTEN SCREWS HOLDING BAFFLE?

Open the front door where you load the machine.
Look towards the top where the door normaly closes, there ususualy two screws that you can unscrew there.
Once loose the top pannel should come off, which allowes you to remove the front panel with 2 screws as well.

Good luck!

One of the finns inside the dryer is loose, how do I tighten it?

To tighten the drum baffles, all you have to do is UNPLUG the dryer and lift the top panel. The bolts that hold the baffles in place are located on the outside perimeter of the drum. There's usually a minimum of two per baffle. If you cannot figure out how to lift the top panel, post back with your complete model number (located on a nameplate around the door opening or back of the operator console) so that I may be able to assist you further. I hope this helps you.

Baffle is loose on drum. How do we get access to fix the baffle

The screws that hold the drum baffles in place are located along the outside of the drum. Usually, you need to lift the dryer top in order to access them, and they can be tightened without removing any components. However, all dryers are not contructed the same and access to the drum can vary. If you would please post a brand name and model number it would help in being able to determine exactly how your dryer is configured.

Baffle loose (Can see hole when moving baffle)

Hi there :)

The baffles are held in by 2 quarter inch screws per baffle. The only way to get to them is by taking off the top lid of the dryer.

Good luck.
