If you have a power cord or usb cord plug them in see if it will come on. If cam comes on charger may be bad. If Cam does not come on could be many different issues.

Very likely bad batteries in the handhelds. Make certain they have been charged fully and try again. If not, get new batteries. Batteries go bad even not used, sitting in a box or on a shelf. 1999 are likely nicad chemistry and without a professional battery conditioner, I doubt they will take a charge. You could try to charge and dis charge them your self 10-12 times. Sometimes this will work. Fully charge the battery, put in the radio and turn it on until the radio beeps. Do not let it go dead overnight or you make the problem worse.

Hi luismasramir ,

Seems to be the case where the battery is not fully recharged , Please follow the below steps :-

  1. Please make sure that you charge your battery fully , till the time you see an indicator for the battery being fully charged , or may be you see an icon in the display screen with the charge status.
  2. As far the 6.30 hr duration that you have mentioned, this duration reflects the time that you have left for total recording space on your disk or memory card depending on your current source for recording.
  3. The above duration is not to be confused with the battery usage time.
Hope his helps ...:)

My blackberry torch will not turn on , it will do nothing . I tried taking out the battery and tried a different battery still nothing. PLEASE HELP :(

If you are certain the batteries were charged, the cord/charger should have turned it on. If not the solder points of the mini usb have come loose. Had that problem twice. Its common if you use your phone while its still conected to the cord

Hi,

Judging by the cameras response the battery may be low on charge. Try removing the battery (there usually is a button close to where the battery is inserted) and charging it overnight. If it still does not work the battery pack may be dead or worn out. You may need to get a new one as batteries gradually loose their capacity overtime and eventually die.

If the battery is a Ni-Cd or Ni-MH you can attempt to revive it by charging it fully, then discharging it by running the camera, and repeat this cycle many times.

Thanks for using FixYa,

Take the battery out and turn selection switch to camera and then turn it off. Put the battery back in and its working again.
if that doesn't work try
Try smacking the side of the camera relatively hard with the palm of your hand. Eject the tape and reinsert. You may need to do this a couple of times.
good luck
