Why has my fridge stopped cooling?

Hello Kyle, many times the condenser coil at the bottom of the refrigerator is blocked and needs cleaning. I use a vacuum and clean the best I can. Also make sure the fan motor that blows across the condenser coil is working okay. Hope that helps!

Fridge GE GSS20IEPDCC wall between the freezer and fresh food side getting very warm. Runs all the time.

The wall separating the fridge and freezer section has tubing off the compressor called a mullion heater/ discharge tube heater. It is there to keep that strip slightly warm and prevent sweating during humid times. If it gets overly warm/hot to the touch then either it is due for a cleaning or the condenser fan has stopped. The defrost circuit is not the problem! After pulling the fridge out, remove the back panel and you will see a round condenser on the right hand side. The fan motor is mounted on the side of it. Clean as necessary and make sure the fan is running. Unplug during cleaning and protect your floor before pulling it out

Check if condenser fan motor is running and condenser unit - it might be full of dust and lint - clean it! It is dangerous for both compressors if that fan motor has stopped working! It starts flashing VACUME CONDENSER after 24 hrs on my sub zero 690 side by side fridge .I cleaned the condenser but some one suggested I can wash with hot water spray bottle (I did not tried). If there is...

"Vacuum Condenser" light on this refrigerator will appear if you have any kind of issues - some of their models would have "Service" light instead of Vacuum Condenser. As My expirience shows Most likely Your Fresh food section is low on refrigerant - Evaporator might leak freon - so what we would have in this case - compressor runs for longer time then suppose to - as a result "Vacuum Condenser" or (some models) "Service" appears. Another sigh of low freon pressure people would notice ice build up on the back wall of the refrigerator section on the left side on the middle. I post video on my YouTube chanel, so u can check how to fix it properly.

Freezer not working and vacuum condenser flashing

Its an indication that your compressor is running hotter than normal due to a dust/hair clogged condenser coi. Remove the machine compartment cover on the top. This is usually held in place with two 12" long spring clips, sometimes its held in place with two screws, the former will tilt out by hand, the latter will not. Look at the outer side of the condenser coil, opposite from the compressor(s) and the fan motor. is it thick with dust and pet hair? If you can see any aluminum shining, its probably not that bad, and i would then check to see if the condenser fan motor is running. This fan motor pulls in cooler air from your kitchen, across the condenser coil, through the fan itself, then blows it further across the compressor(s). If this fan is not blowing, the compressors wont get cooled, and prematurely shut off during refrigeration cycle. If this fan is blowing, and condenser is cleared, you have more serious problems, and i would recommend you have an Expert Sub-Zero Refrigerator Repair service inspect and diagnose your problem

Front end of divider between refrigerator and freezer is getting very hot to the touch. both sides still working okay... just concerned that the frig may burn out or cause an electrical fire.

The area you are describing is the breaker panel, inside is a heater called a mullion. The purpose of this heater is to control any moisture that may form due to the temp difference (Dew Point) inside and out. This excessive heat you are noticing is a for-warning of bad things to come (compressor damage, spoiled food). The most common reason is not keeping the condenser (different types, designs and locations depending on make and model) clean. Recommend inspect and service every 4 - 6 months. A condenser brush (looks like a over sized bottle brush) and a vacuum with a wand is used. If never done before, service front and back, mybe power clean with reverse blowing vacuum after getting the heavy stuff out. After cleaning, give 24 hours, if no major damage to compressor or condenser fan motor, the system should return to normal, breaker panel will cool to average 10 - 15 dgs above ambiant. Other issues that it could be; weak compressor, bad - intermittantly operating condenser fan, doors intermittantly left ajar, bad - low RPM evap fan motor, cavity lights on when doors closed.
