i have a doubt on Q1:
1) how to protect the films from UV light when department.
is < how to protect the films from x-ray when departure if i'm right, i can give some stupid advice to you:
if your film is under iso1000, there is no problem for passing
through the x-ray machine, if your film is iso800 or above,
i think you will not carry a lot (below 10 rolls), you can take it
on your body and treat it as your keys and coins, usually custom
will not open it, this is my self experience. if you still afraid,
you can buy a x-ray protect bag in camera shop.

Q2
one is postive film, another is negative film, how to compare?

Q3
it is true but not due to this reason,
general D&P shop (even fotomax) will not have other brand films
channel, and the technician are only (half bucket of water), they
will use the channel they got to instead, but the filmbase from each
brand and each type of flm is different, therefore colorshift and
question will occur. that's the reason why Fuji film matching Fuji
paper give better performance and the same Kodak

Q4
if your compact camera have iso autodetect function, trust it,
if not , you can set the iso to your want.(for detail, see your
camera's mannul)

Q5
every firm say their products are the most durable, but if you
treat it carelessly, they will damage easily. they can oxide
by sunlight and oxygen, they will decolorize by oxidation,
therefore it durable or not, it's up to your standard.
