Canon lists the solutions for the error 6A00 as... 1. Press ON/OFF switch to reset the multifunction device 2. Press Stop/Reset and ON/OFF to reset the printer 3. Removing paper jams 4. The MP830 may require repair 5. Unlock the scanner lock switch (MP830)
6A00 means the purge assembly is jammed. That's the unit that cleans the printhead. Sometimes it will last a while when cleaned, but I just replace them.
QM2-3032-000 about $20.00 but much easier at a shop.

6A00 means the purge assembly is jammed. Look inside to the right where the printhead rests when turned off. Remove any paper scraps. Otherwise you need a new purge unit
