Java problem using pogo games

Java seems to just connects to pogo games. I am not getting errors it just won't connect. I have installed the new Java program and have tested my computer to see if Java is working fine and it seems to be. I seem to have problems with Pogo games. I have tried the troubleshoot on help in pogo page to no remedy. To give it a nudge to connect I have to use my task manager and give firefox some help to connect. When I use windows explorer I have to use trusted site and manually keep clicking http://game3.pogo.com After a few minutes it seems to connect to the game but this is very frustrating. It's even worse using firefox. I hope I have explained my problem enough for you to understand. I have tried almost everything I can think of. It like a car won't start but tweak it and then it fires up after awhile

everytime i try to play a pogo game, an error message pops up saying java not found or not working...i've uninstalled it, reinstalled it, done everything its told me to do, checked everything it's told me to check 3 or 4 times....can't figure it out...

This issue is caused by the security software on the computer. Most security software have features like AD blocking and Script blocking which causes this problem.
You can try turning off this feature in the security software. Alternatively there are couple of things that can be done.
For IE 6, goto tools manage add-ons and disable all the items except the ones which have the name Java or Flash or Sun Microsystems or Adobe.
For IE7, goto Tools - Advanced tab and click on the Reset button.
Or goto Tools – Programs tab – Click “Manage addons” and do the same as above.

Let me know if this helps

Click Start-> Control Panel. Go to Add/Remove Programs OR Programs->Uninstall Programs depending on your version of Windows. Find any listing of Java and remove each one. Reboot your computer.

Then visit the site http://java.com and the site will walk you through determining the correct version, installing, and testing.

I get as far as showing the POGO homepage, which uses Java, but the games won't load

Install the latest version of Java.
Try it in mozilla firefox. If you are IE than make sure your java is enabled you are using the IE8 or later version.

I play pogo games and cannot enter a room..says error in java yet it is installed

Im not sure what browser you are using but what i would suggest is un-installing java, via the add and remove programs and then re-install java using this link and try playing your game on pogo, If however it still does not work i would also try downloading firefox web browser. I hope this helps you.

I am having trouble playing games on pogo. I just spent $64 upgrading Java and I still can't log on. They want me to buy something else. What can I do?

First thing to do is update your windows operating system. Click the Start button, click All Programs, and then then click Windows Update

The reason why Java will not load on Pogo is because your computer has a registry error. Click on the link below to download the free Abexo registry cleaner

http://download.cnet.com/Abexo-Free-Registry-Cleaner/3000-2094_4-10434887.html

After you download Abexo and scan your harddrive to remove the errors you will need to update your Java to Version 6 Update 20 . Click on this link below to update Java for free

http://java.com/en/

Now restart your computer and download the free Adobe flash player
http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/

After you compete all of these steps, log into Pogo with the correct user name and password and start a new game.

Please follow these instrucions to clean up your Java installation.
There is a program called JavaRa that will remove all the old Java versions from your computer. Go here to read about it, then it is a free download from here.
Extract the .zip file to your desktop or create a My Programs\JavaRa folder and send it there. Close your browser and run the JavaRa.exe file and choose 'remove older versions.' When done, it will show you a log file of the Java versions found on your computer and removed. Close that.
Now open JavaRa again if it is not still there behind the log file. Choose "Search for updates" and then "Update using SunJava's website" A browser window should open at the Java home page. (http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp)
Scroll down to the Java SE Runtime Environment (JRE) and choose download. Choose windows from the options, check the license, then choose offline or online installation and click the orange download bar.
Save the file to your desktop or folder, then close your browsers, and click on the file to install Java.
This will give you the most recent version of Java available, which should work seamlessly with Pogo applications.
To check, go to this page and reactivate your Pogo account. Then try to play games.
If your account is properly activated, and you're still having problems, please see this page.
If you want help with these last settings, write back and let us know the exact error message you get from Pogo, and we'll help you to adjust your browser settings to get you in.
I don't see any reason why you shouldn't be able to play with Windows xp. I'm sure you can get it sorted out...

I hope this information allows you to resolve this issue. If you need further assistance, please post back with a comment to this thread.
If I've managed to answer your question or solve a problem, please take just a moment to rate this post....thanks!

It should appear in the Add/ Remove Programs listing, to access this click:
Start -> (Settings -> ) Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs

You can search for Java in the listing and remove it.

Try flushing your Java cache.

Start > Control Panel > Java > Temporary Internet Files (Settings) > Delete Files.

You might even try UNchecking "Keep Temporary Files on My Computer".
