If your using the Instant DVD recorder make sure in the step number 1 the dazzle is selected not pinnacle file capture.

In the step number 2 select burner make sure hard disk folder is selected then click the browse button this will allow you to save the video into your hard drive in different locations

Hi dawn120
You need a powerfull machine to obtain full satisfying results .
The output is best directed to a hard drive folder and then burned to DVD later. Import the result into a video editor and trim and edit as needed.
Don't mess with the computer while copying. Turned off screen savers and updates to prevent disruption.

Sorry

When transfering the VHS to my external hard drive, the audio is not in sync with the video. What can I do??? I'm using the DAZZLE DVD Recorder Convert device and have Windows XP.

Try to capture the video first in your drive C and please check if you will get the same result. If not try capture the whole video and do the copy and paste so that you can transfer it to your external hard drive.

If you still getting the same result when capturing the video to the drive C.

Try to defrag your hard drive C. Disable your antivirus and firewall connection.

Update the driver of your video card and sound card.

If your using a laptop or the desktop. Make sure that the dazzle device is connected at the back USB and not in the front.

Hope this help

When I try and play any video at 1080p I get stuttering video and audio that is out of sync. I've got a little program that renders the video and reports what codecs were used and for some reason it plays...

If the video is MKV, I had the same problem. remove Klite, and install CCCP. I did and it was smooth.

also with HiDef content being huge on the hard drive, and windows being very lazy, after you have a hidef on your hard drive, do a defrag on your hard drive so it plays the film from the same area of the HDD so the PC isn't working as hard. keep in mind 1080p can be 24Mb a second, and usually the HDD only has 16mb cache, so the smoother you can make things the better.

Hope this helps?

Graphic Problem

If your video card is only 8MB i don't believe that meets the minimum requirements.

So you might not be able to play this game with your current video card.

Requirements:
Operating System: Windows Vista, XP or 2000
CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)
RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
Disc Drive: DVD-ROM Drive
Hard Drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
Video Card: Direct X 9 compatible (must be 256 MB or more with support for pixel shader 2.0)
Sound Card: Direct X9.0c compatible

eMachines are pretty standard hardware so look at Tiger Direct or Newegg for your needs; this is a service site and doesn't sell anything directly from here.

Do you get a single beep from the POST at start-up? That signifies that the internal check is OK.
