I don't believe the moving and unhooking was the issue! First I would look inside to see if the ribbon like cable came loose, that goes from signal board (input board) to lcd controller. The lcd controller will be on the back of the lcd screen, you will see a small board under a metal cover.

Second It may have been a coincidence, and the signal board was starting to fail. There could be some visual issue's with board maybe some bad caps (capacitors) on the board. They will look bulged on the top an may be a little leaky (brownish stain). Good luck, I hope this was helpful!!

How can I set up with my lcd Sony tv

If your home theater receiver has a digital optical input, run a digital optical cable from digital optical OUTPUT on TV to digital optical INPUT on receiver. If receiver is older and only has analog inputs, you can get an 1/8 inch to RCA cable(red/white), and plug 1/8 inch side to an output on back of TV and plug RCA side to aux input(or CD or cassette input) on back of receiver. DO NOT PLUG INTO PHONO INPUT! Either one of those cables can be found at Walmart, radio shack, or best buy, etc. Digital Optical cable is definitely the best choice, but I just used the 1/8 to RCA setup to hook up a Sony led to my brother's early 90's Pioneer receiver(not the ideal setup, but will work). Hope this helps.

Hello, I am currently having a problem with my Audiosonic KM0767 Standard Definition Set Top Box. When we first bought it we wired up all the plugs and it worked great. We then moved onto Foxtel...

did you switch the TV's incoming signal to digital antenna? For the cable box it was probably set to cable antenna or analog inputs, not all TV's have automatic switching for antenna feeds. My Mitsubishi has 1 digital and 1 analog antenna input and the cable box will only work through the antenna input if it's the analog antenna input and it's tuned to channel 3 or 4, -(or through a seprate HDMI, PROSCAN, SVCR,or a yellow RCA plug input)- and when the analog antenna input is selected the TV will tune all analog cable channels that the cable service offers if a box is not used. likewise the TV will not tune any channels at all if it's set to digital antenna inputs. It will tune all local channels only when set to digital antenna inputs.

Onkyo TX-SR604 provides audio thru receiver but no video on Bravia LCD when satellite receiver signal is sent thru any of the Onkyo HDMI connections to tv, however if I connect up my Samsung DVD recorder...

easiest fix is to take all hdmi straight to tv. then come out of tv with optical cable to your receiver. that way what ever your watching will automatically be sent to the receiver thru optical. you even will get dolby dig. also you can have audio from your tv when you dont want to use your surround. keeps receiver on one input also.

No sound unless VIDEO signal is plugged into receiver

Connect the DVD player audio with digital coax into the digital audio connection as you described and the DVD video directly to the TV. Now switch the input mode on the receiver to DVD. Then switch the video output mode on the TV to correspond to the input you plugged into. Any source in 5.1 dolby digital or dts should now work properly and have picture too.

How do i get surrond sound for just tv shows

surround sound only comes over the digital out on back of the TV or better, on back of the Verizon boc, itll be a orange RCA jack I believe or the fiber TOS link, These go into your receiver into the same style jack. Digital in may only be associated with the DVD input. if your tv has a HDMI input, you can use the HDMI cable from the convertor box to the TV and then the digital out on the TV into the receiver, but I like the digital out to go straight to the receiver from the convertor box. HDMI tpo the TV will allow you to watch TV on the internal speakers if you dont want to use the amp.

there should be 3 sets of video rca jacks on tv or receiver they might have put them on the wrong rca jack in which they just need to be moved over
usually the 3rd set of rca jacks are component jacks not for tv or video but for low output signals say like cameras and only one set of rca's can be used at a time svg on one of them rca's will over power the vid's. so have no picture

Onkyo TX-SR605 conected to Mitsubishi DLP TV

What I think I did and how I fixed it!

FACTORY RESET ON EVERYTHING!

All you have to do is to do a factory reset on everything, but I thing mostly on your 605, but I would do it on the TV as well. I think what had happened is after I set everything up for the first time, it worked great. As the days when on I started to play with all of the futures the 605 and the TV had to offer. I was turning them on and off to see what everything did. What I think I did was, I turned on something in the 605 that the TV did not know how to cope with. If I had to guess, I think it is the Lip-sink feature (Spelling?) in the 605.

Anyway disconnect everything, look in your manuals of the TV and the 605 to see how to do the factory reset on both. Then turn your TV on. After it does it’s start up for the first time (again), start connecting the 605.

It has been working great for me after I did this. Do not count on help from the people you bought it from or the people who made it. This stuff is so new they do not really know how to fix it.
