Question about Canon PIXMA MP830 All-In-One InkJet Printer
When using Canon MP Navigator 2.2 software on a MacBook (OS X 10.5.6) the batch scanning consistently fails, with the following message:
No Document in the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder). Load document and retry.
We've tried putting more paper into the feeder, with no joy so far. We're also wondering if we're putting the paper into the feeder properly, or if there's a technique for increasing the probability that the Canon MP830 ADF will recognize document presence and work properly.

open the ADF and clean the rollers and wooden cork pad and unplug the machine and press and hold the ON button for 1 min and release the button and plug it bak and it should resolve ur issue........

SOURCE: Canon MP830 not scanning
It won't scan unless you have a program like picasso running on your computer to accept the scan. On the Canon you choose where you want the scanned image to go and if you choose the computer you need a program running to store or adjust the scanned image.
