I bought my unit many years ago (early adopter) without the optional tuner. It has always worked very well. I like it because of all the different types of connectors and I use it as monitor with a multimedia computer. Recently, it has developed a problem: The cleaning ladies apparently used some cleaner on the screen that stripped a very thin coating from the glass that apparently was there to dissipate the heat coming from the screen. After a few minutes being on, the set starts to pixalate and it looks as if the the colors are misaligned vertically. First, you see a yellow fringe around objects, then a pinkish ghost to the right of the yellow. After a while, the picture is unwatchable. If I stick a fan to blow on the screen, the problem will not happen. Is there some sort of repair for this, possibly re-spraying a new coating? I don't know if this is related, but when I call the menu, it jumps around (flickers) so much I can barely read it. Has anyone experienced the same problem? Thanks. jmartin12
