Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
Change your thermal fuse first. when thermal fuse goes bad either the whole dryer won't run or the heat element won't come on. Check out item # 3344 at www.repairclinic.com/Appliance-Parts?s=t-pye2300ayw-%3d%3d&z=100 If your thermal fuse is bad there will be no continuity through it.

I also have a maytag performa pye2300ayw that wont start. Doesnt turn on at all. When I push in the knob to start, nothing happens. If this is the thermal fuse, is it something I can do myself?
I have a Maytag PYE2300AY electric dryer and lately it has also been stopping in the middle of cycle. However, it will restart after setting (cooling??) for a period of time.
The timer on my Maytag clicks, but no spinning or heat. Do I need part 3344 (fuse) and, if so, is the fuse located inside the silver metal disk (2-in in diameter) that surround the electrical controls in the back? The fuse doesn't correspond to anything I see on this panel.
