Wii remotes lights just flash at the very first screen and will not turn on

I can be playing with my Wii remote and all of a sudden the four lights start blinking and the game pauses as it lost contact. I've pulled the batery to get it to work again and I've waited like a minute and then they synch again. But the rechargable batteries are fully charged, why would it temporarily loose contact?

Turn the wii on, and open the slot next to the disk drive.
then on the wii remote take the battery cover off, but dont touch the battery.
press the red button on the wii, then do it on the remote. (the buttons should be labeled "sync".)
when they connect, your problem should be fixed.

Bought a new will remote but it doesn't work.

Check the battery levels. You can do this by pressing A. If all 4 lights flash on and off, your batteries are completely charged. 3 lights, 2 lights, and 1 light signify 3/4, 1/2, and 1/4 battery levels. If lights don't flash, replace/insert batteries.
If it's not working with your console, open up the battery cover and the flip lid on the front of the console. (If it's a Wii U, you don't need to open the flip lid.) In both places, there is a red button. (On Wii U, it's next to the flip lid.) Press both red buttons at the same time. (Your Wii will need to be powered on.) The Wii Remote will continuously flash lights until it either receives a sync signal or about a minute has passed; whichever comes first. If you've pressed the buttons and your remote is still flashing, press the button on the console again. Once the remote is synced, the flashing lights will turn into a single light; the placement of the light will vary depending on how many remotes are signed into the Wii.
*Note* Once your remote is synced, you simply need to press A to sign back in if your remote turns off.
If all of the above steps were followed, and your remote is still not functioning, contact the manufacturer. Brands such as Nintendo and Nyko are usually okay, but generics like GameStop aren't the best. It's often easiest to return it and buy a different brand.

The controler lights flash but wont turn on?

Have you tried syncing the Wii remote?
To sync the Wii remote, turn on your Wii.
Then open the back of the Wii remote (where you put the batteries) and press the SYNC button.
Open the SD Card Slot cover on the front of the Wii. Press the SYNC button.
The controller should turn on.

If your Wii remote still doesn't turn on, visit support.nintendo.com, or call 1-800-255-3700 for Wii assistance.

How do i sync my remotes with my nintendo wii, four blue lights flashing but not working with picture on screen, cannot get off first screen when wii turns on. cheers

Hi there,
You need to press the red button under the protection cap for the SD card reader AT THE SAME TIME AS the one under the battery protector on the remote. Sometimes, it takes more than one try to get it to work.
Hope this helps,
Regards

Wii Problem, the remote

make sure a combination of the 4 blue lights at the bottom of the remote are on (but not flashing, mind you). if they're not, this means that your wii remote isn't connected to your nintendo wii system yet. if when you press a button and none of the lights turn on at all, this means that there are no batteries in your wii remote. if it flashes, this means its trying to connect to your wii system. you might have to troubleshoot this a little bit. try to aim it at the bar that recognizes the wii signal (a separate piece that comes with the wii system).
hope this helps ;-)

Can't sync wii remotes to console

When you sync the wii motes you have to do it in proper order!!!

There are 2 ways to sync one is minor out of sync stuff. You push red button on the wii briefly then quickly press the red button on the wiimote.

Second one is what you need to do. First remove any disk then hold in the power button until the light turns red. (not yellow or orange). Release it then unplug the Wii. Do not remove the batteries but if they are low replace them before you turn it back on. Wait at least 2 minutes.
Have the backs off the Wiimotes.
Plug the Wii in.
Turn the power on.
As the Health and Safety screen appears push in the red button on the Wii.
Hold it there a min. of 15 seconds. 25-30 is better.
When you release it right away push the red button on the first Wii mote. It flashes all the lights.
Immediately press then release the red button on the Wiimote while lights are flashing. When they stop flashing it will be synched.
a.Then press the button on the Wii again (this time only hold for 2-3 seconds) then press the red button on the second wiimote and while lights flash press the button on the Wii again.
Repeat a. for any other wiimotes.

Wii remote

Greetings baggie bird,

You need to resynch your remote to your Wii console.

You hit the sync button under the battery cover on the remote, and then when the lights are flashing on the remote, you hit the sync button on the Wii. The synch button is located under the small cover to the left of the cd/dvd slot.

Thank you,

Dort
