You have to insert a wii fit game and bypass all the stuff until the game is ready to play.Open the battery compartment on the Wii board and open the large door on the front of the Wii console.Press the sync button on the board, then press the sync button at the top of the console compartment. The fit board light should stay steady blue.If it doesn't,try it again. When the fit board stays steady blue,it is synched.
Simply turn on your Wii. Using the first player remote press the home button then go to the bottom of the screen and you'll see the controller sync screen. You should then see like a resync or something similar. Hot that and the Wii will make two ringing sounds. When this happens press and hold the 1+2 buttons on the remote and then after it connects press and hold the sync button on the Wii Fit board where you insert the batteries.
Here you have different procedures on what to do if you get that error message. Please get back to me if nothing works.
The exact procedure is:
• Even if the battery level is strong, try the following:
Remove the batteries in the Wii Fit Board for at least 1 minute…… better 15
Try these steps!
Turn the Wii console power OFF by pressing the POWER Button on the
front of the console. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet for a
few seconds. After a few seconds have elapsed, plug the cord back into
the wall outlet.
2 Turn the power of the Wii console ON. When
you see the Health and Safety screen, open the small flap on the front
of the Wii console to find a red button labeled "SYNC." Press and hold
the SYNC Button down for 15 seconds. This will clear all the syncs on
the Wii, allowing you to get a clean start to begin the process
3 After holding the SYNC Button on the Wii console down for at least 15 seconds, you can now "re-sync" your Wii Remotes:
With the first Wii Remote you wish to sync, remove the battery cover on
the back of the Wii Remote to find a small red button just below the

4 Start the game from the Wii Menu, then sync the Wii Balance Board from the opening screen of the game.
Ensure your batteries are fresh. Ensure that the Wii Fit (or other Balance Board game) is started up completely before pressing the power button. Try turning off your wii and unplugging from the power source for a few minutes. The plug back in and turn on. At the initial warning screen press and hold the sync button on the will console for about 4 seconds. You will have to re-sync your wii remotes. Next make sure the disc for the game you are going to use the balance board with is in the system and start the game. Then try to sync the balance board.
When you are prompted to press the sync buttons you just have to press and release just once the sync button on the console and then on the board. Do not hold the buttons in because you just end up un syncing everything!
I know it's been a while since you have posted and have prob already figured it out. But just in case this may help someone else. Try turning off your wii and unplugging from the power source for a few minutes. The plug back in and turn on. At the initial warning screen press and hold the sync button on the wii console for about 4 sec. You will have to resync your wii remotes. Next make sure the disc for the game you are going to use the balance board with is in the system and start the game. Then try to sync the balance board.
Hey wva54ccc, According to information provided by the manufacturer, holding the sync button down for a prolonged period does clear all synced devices from the Wii's memory. In order to "start from scratch" and resync your remotes, you'll want to do the following: 1) Turn the Wii off and unplug it for at least 1-2 minutes. After this time has elapsed, plug the Wii back in. 2) Turn the power on again, and press the "Sync" button on the front of your Wii console for 15 seconds when the "Health and Safety" screen is being displayed. This will clear all previously synced devices from the Wii's memory. 3) To sync a remote/accessory to the Wii, you'll need to press the small red button located just beneath the batteries. When you do so, the blue lights on the front of the remote/accessory should blink. 4) Next, quickly press the "Sync" button on the Wii console again. 5) After the "Player" LED light stops blinking and stays lit, the remote/accessory is synced and no further actions are necessary with that remote. 6) Repeat steps 3, 4 and 5 for each remote/accessory you wish to sync to your Wii. Should following these steps not resolve the problem, I'd strongly suggest checking out Nintendo's Wii remote troubleshooting website for more information. http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/systems/wii/en_na/ts/wiiremote.jsp Hope this helps you out.
