Question about HP Photosmart C4280 All-in-One InkJet Printer
It prints fine. It used to scan fine, now when I go to scan it says the USB is not connected. I disconnect it from the printer and the computer and reconnect but it has the same problem. I have tried it with my Apple and with my DELL computers.
This is a HP hardware/software error and HP has not fixed it.
The C4250 may report that "USB is not connected" but the printer works just fine and when you use the Microsoft Scanner and Camera Wizard to carry out a scan, it works just fine too. So the error message is wrong.
The Microsost Scanner and Camera Wizard can be found on the Control Panel.
