Question about Philips GOGEAR SA6045 MP3 Player
My media player runs fine but when I hook in my (new) GoGear MP3 player to try to Sync, I get 3 error messages and then my Windows Media Player shuts down. (My computer runs XP SP3). The 3 messages I get are: 1) DRM Migrate Exe encountered a problem (2) Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger and (3) Media Player Setup Utility.
I am hoping that msgs 2 & 3 are caused by #1.
Has anybody else had this problem?
PS: Microsoft says that its Philips problem and I'm sure Philips will tell me that its Microsoft's problem !! At least Microsoft referred me to this website, which hopefully will give me a solution. I'm thinking of removing and re-installing Media Player. Any thoughts out there?
You have to update the firmware on that particular player to make it compatible with Windows Media Player 11. Grab the latest version of the Philips Device Manager from Philips website, install it, open it, and click the "Update" button. It will erase all your songs in the process, but then your player will be fixed, and you can move on.
