LG Trohm dryer will not power up. No lights, nothing.

We replaced the circuit breaker, but that didn't help. It worked fine until I tried to dry a heavy rug. Is there some sort of reset button on the dryer?

My LG dryer will turn on but will not start and the dry light blinks.

Unplug your dryer and turn off the circuit breaker for the dryer. Then press and hold the power and the start button for about 5 seconds,Next and then hold the pay and the pause button for approximately 5 seconds and plug the dryer back in and turn the circuit breaker back on too.The lint filter needs to be cleaned out. If the dryer still is not working it needs to be repaired.

I purchased a new WED9400SU electric dryer and it work fine for a few cycles but all of a sudden the start button does not light up and therefore it will not start no matter what I do. I've unplugged all...

alright, make sure that the door switch/sensor isn't broken and that it is closing all of the way. Try turning the dial on the dryer around a few times and seeing that it clicks and try it in a different cycle and see if it starts.

let me know if this still doesn't work and we can try a few other things. If it is new and you find something that is damaged then it can probably be taken back and swapped. Also, your warranty might also cover a house visit to check it out if it still won't work after doing the above which I would look into by giving the place a call.

Please let me know what you do and check and whether it helps or not and I will give you a few other things you can do, thanks

Hello Edward, Is it possible that the electrical circuit breaker is tripped in your breaker box? Try shutting the breaker off and turn it back on.

Hello Steve,

I am a bit confused because the model you selected is for a electric dryer which should have a dedicated outlet/breaker only for the dryer
I am going to assume it's a gas dryer and the trouble is with the outlet,to verify this plug a know working object into the outlet and see if it works
Even if the part in the dryer part that cuts the circuit to the motor if it's bad(thermal fuse) has no bearing on the drum light and that should work if power to dryer

Woke up this morning and the fridge was not working, It is like there is no power on to it. I checked the breaker and it was not tripped I did reset it to check but still nothing.

If there is not lights or anything in the refrigerator, then you aren't getting power. Start out checking the outlet - if you don't have a multimeter to check it, use a hair dryer plugged in to that outlet to see if it will work. If it doesn't then it is between that outlet and the main circuit breaker box or even a bad circuit breaker.

If it does work or you have lights in your refrigerator it is probably either the starting capacitor, start relay or compressor.

LG refrigerators are more sensitive to power fluctuations than other models and we have had to replace a lot of starting caps and relays - but sometimes it is the compressor.

Hope this helps!

My dryer will only work for like 3 minutes and then it kicks out the breaker. It is an lg tromm dle3777w. It has worked fine for about 4 years. Used it for a load already today and it worked fine. ...

Hi - there is a fault with the heating circuit, most likely either a bad connection on the elements or elsewhere on the wiring. The only other problem would be the actual heater element, although doubtful as it would normally pop the circuit breaker instantly if this was the case.

Although i'm not familiar with this particular model all dryers operate the same way, when on air dry there is usually no heating involved, it will work ok.

If you can handle the repairs yourself otherwise get an electrician or appliance serviceman to help you out.

No heat will come from the dryer

Check the dryer breaker pair in the house electrical box. Push off, then on. If the breakers trip immediately, then you have a direct short circuit in the dryer, usually the heating element which involves removing the drum to get at the element(s). If the breakers hold, then try the dryer. If you get heat--ok. If drum turns, but no heat--check with a voltmeter across the two slanted slots in the power socket. You should read ~220 volts AC. If near zero, then one of the breakers is probably bad. Get an electrician to replace the breaker pair.

Whirlpool Imperial Electric Dryer wont heat up

Check the following to address this issue.

1. No power to the dryer
Make sure there's power getting to the dryer. Check for tripped circuit breakers or blown fuses. An electric dryer uses two circuit breakers or fuses, and if only one of two is tripped or blown, the dryer might still run but not heat. Sometimes the power cord disconnects or burns at the dryer, if this is the case, the wiring and the terminal block must be repaired or replaced.

2. Heating element
A burned out heating element will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Replace the element if found defective.

3. Thermal fuse
Most dryers have a thermal fuse, which burns out when the dryer overheats, in which case the dryer will either not run at all or stop heating. The fuse is usually located on the vent duct, inside the dryer. A blown fuse will show no continuity when measured with a meter. Before replacing the fuse, make sure the blower wheel is not broken or clogged, and there is nothing blocking the venting.
