Question about Maytag PYE2300AY Electric Dryer
My dryer overheated and wont turn on now. The lint trap was a mess( I blame husband and kids!). I have cleaned it out and don't know where to look next. Not sure where the thermostats are to try replacing them. If someone could point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it. The laundry is taking over my house!
You need to open the top lid. There are two piins that release it(located where the top and front meet) lift it up and you will see the element on the top left, to the right side you will see two WHITE wires, they go to the thermal fuse. You can atach them and then plug the dryer in and see if it starts. When it does, you will need to order the thermal fuse kit.
Before you begin make sure to UNPLUG the dryer!!!!!!
