on your motherboard there will be a version number something like this that is printed in white:

I ordered incorrect a 2x1024 mb RAM for my Giga-Byte GA-8VM800PMD-775 with 667 mhz(the ram). The motherboard only supports 533 max ,is it a way that i make it work ?

Hi,

Sometimes you can use faster RAM because it is usually backward compatible...but not always.

If the RAM doesn't work, there is nothing you can do to make it work.

If you can, get into the BIOS and see if it is detected at all. If not, you are out of luck.

If you would like to have guaranteed memory, I would suggest going to www.kingston.com or www.crucial.com

Thanks for using Fixya.

My motherboard (GA-8VM800PMD-775-RH) has a Intel Pentium 4 installed. Is that a Pentium Quad or what?

Sorry to say that the motherboard only supports dual core processors. Click on the link below for full specifications on the motherboard. Link below >>>>>

Vga card is dead so the nothing showing on the screen

Hello,
On motherboards with built in video cards when you plug in a new card the on board card is automatically disabled. Just plug the card in and connect your monitor.

I hope this helps, if so please rate our solution.

Video memory sharing from ram

You can check your Bios settings to determine if sharing more memory is possible. You may wish to upgrade to more memory if you plan on sharing more with your GPU.
