I Formatted the H340, using the PC, not using the "on-board" format option. i have reloaded my music and videos but the uit will not recognise the presence of ANY files...
use the onboard format because it might need certain files to be loaded.

-   after having problems playing the files on my iriver (iti did not play any mp3 files) i deleted and formated it. Now when I add any files on it is does not see them at all. As long as it is connected to my PC they are there and can be played with Wndows Media Player, after I disconnect it - irever does not show any files either in the music mode or in the browse mode.

where can i get a replacement screen for an iriver h340. i dropped my unit and the screen has gone off. you can faintly see it in strong light so i think it's just the backlight is broken but that seems to be integral to the screen.

I start my iRiver H340 player and press the A-B button, which gives me a list of the current playlists. Apart from the playlists I have put on there, there are many others, at least one for every subfolder on the machine. None of these other playlists work. If you press the folder name, it starts to try and read it and then says something along the lines of, "Read Failed!" It returns you to the first screen and one of my lists will work. However, scrolling through all of these bad playlists is not only time consuming, it seems unnecessary. The first thing I did was to do a search for the phantom filenames on the drive. But I couldn't find them. Also, they do not show up in the default "Playlists" folder. Only my working playlists are there. Help! How do I delete the phantom lists?
