Toshiba Laptop unable to start but only displays post screen

I have a Toshiba Setellite Laptop that is failing to start but only displays the post screen. When I punch in F2 button to enter into setup, I get the messege saying "check system then press F1.
When I press F1, setup window will come.

If I go out of setup window, it still shows post screen but no booting. what should I do to resolve this?

Display shows lines and color not displayed properly

A line vertically down the screen (usually bright green) is a failed column strobe. This can be caused by the connections at the top of the screen failing or the strobe chip starting to die.

Random colours can be caused by a cracked screen or a failed video card.

Best to take it to a repair shop for it to be assessed.

IF you are using windoows 8 machine. Note that P2GO supports Miracast and so does Win8,

1. Connect both P2GO and laptop to same network. Access charms menu and find P2GO Devices .

2. Choose project and then duplicate screen.

If doesnt work. Open Screen Resolution from context menu ( right click on Desktop ) and make sure screen is listed.

If using earlier windows versions (excluding XP)
1. UNINSTALL P2Go driver and restart computer
2. Install driver
3 connect device

Alison the first step you need to take is to try to prove whether it is just the laptop display that has failed or whether it is more serious than that.
If you have access to a separate computer monitor, i.e. on a second desktop computer, then try connecting this to your Toshiba laptop and see if you get any information posted on the monitor when booting the laptop.
If you do see the normal boot / start-up messages being posted, then you have shown that the laptop display is at fault and you will probably need to take the laptop to a repair shop.
If you don't see any boot / start-up messages with the external display connected, then you have a more fundamental problem with the laptop.
Check to make sure that you do not have any CD / DVD / Diskette or USB devices connected to the laptop, that it might try to boot from. Listen for any beeps from the computer speaker when you initially turn on the laptop, and check for any LED lights flashing to show that there is any internal disk activity, and that the power LED is lit
If you are seeing LED lights, then there could be a problem with the Operating system (Windows XP?).
If you are not seeing any LED lights, then again, it sounds likely that the laptop system board may have failed - you would need to take it to a repair shop for further investigation.
You could try removing the laptop battery and then connecting the power supply to see if that makes a difference - I have seen laptops that would not boot with a failed battery in place, but which started Ok with it removed.

You possibly have a LCD screen failing, but to be 100% sure, you should hook your laptop to an external monitor, and see if the display is good . Any desktop monitor will work. If your display is good, you know your LCD on your laptop is failing, and if it is the same display as your laptop, you know you have a video chip problem on your laptop motherboard.

Toshiba setellite black out

Sounds like the back light on the screen isn't working properly which will need to be replaced if this is the case. Check for a very dark image on the screen when it is booting up in a well lit room, if you can see the computer start up then it is the back light.
