That is a problem with the door latch.

To start move the cycler to the end to ternminate the cycle, and turn off the appliance.
Then unplug power cable, or trip circuit breaker, cutting power for five minutes.

If when you restart the machine you still get close inner door message, then that means that the door latch must be replaced.

Dyson no longer manufacture or supply the parts. Your only hope is to get a second hand part. Not hard to fix.

Dyson cr01 fault F4

Hi Sue, it's Jack at Dyson.

An F4 fault code means 'inner door opening'. Unfortunately since 31st December 2012, we have been unable to support CR01 and CR02 washing machines with spare parts or servicing. In October 2012 proactively wrote to all CR01 and CR02 owners that we'd interacted with within the last 3 years to make them aware of this.

If you would like to discuss your concerns further with one of our experts, you can reach us on 0800 298 0298. Calls are free from UK landlines, and we're available from 8am-8pm from Monday to Friday, and 8am-6pm on weekends.

Message saying close outer door although it is closed and will not start

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,

There is likely to be a problem with either the lid/door solenoid/lock or the 'lid/door closed' sensor requiring a service engineer's attention I suggest ;-0(

If this has assisted and/or clarified the situation for you please consider a 4 thumbs up on our rating.
Thanks and good luck!
