Saeco Giro Plus Bean Grinder Section Inoperative

My Saeco Giro Gran Plus coffee machine will not grind beans. It starts up normally and achieves a green status light. However, when you press the brew button, the machine does not make a grinding sound and the red error status light turns on. I could not find a troubleshooting routine for the grinding assembly. Can you provide troubleshooting solutions to correct this problem?

How do i change grinder setting while its running

I don't believe you can. There is a switch that turns off the grinder if you remove the lid to the bean hopper. The grinder adjustment is under that lid...so, unless you bypass the switch in the lid (which can be done) you cannot get access to the grinder adjustment.

My Odea Giro stops working when entering the brew pump cycle. When I run it without coffee it runs fine. When I add coffee it stops after the grind cycle. I have replaced the microswitches and cleaned the...

I had a similar problem
Mine was caused by an "oily" type of coffee beans. Grind was accumulating in the grinder.

I did open the machine and cleaned the grinder physically. At least, try to remove all beans and sucked with a vacuum the interior of the grinder screw.

Good luck

Why are the used grinding pads on my saeco odeo giro very loose and watery

I can personally confirm this fix from another similar question works: "I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough, it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount." My manual didn't have very good info about lubricating the brew group, so I referred to some Youtube videos demonstrating the methods. A sourced a 3rd party food safe lubricant from Amazon which I applied with Q-tips, but in retrospect they also sell Saeco "maintenance kits" which would have been cheaper & easier to apply, plus it includes a new O-ring.

Hi...Keep on grinding until the Auto Dosing System readjust the amount of grind to be in the optimum. Normally it takes 3 to 4 grinds. Whenever we change the type of beans, this condition happens, it is not a problem.

The thing that comes to mind is the brew unit is blocked and or the grind is too fine. Remove the brew unit and clean the screen under the red o-ring.

I have a Saeco Odea Go and my puck in the dreg drawer are really wet and I have water leaking (brown so with coffee) under the dreg drawer. how I can fix it ?

I recently had this problem. I throughly cleaned and lubricated the brew group as directed by the manual. Apparently if the brew group doesn't move smoothly enough it won't grind the correct amount of beans. Try lubricating and then brewing 2-3 cups to have the machine recalibrate the grind amount.

! light flashing... machine won't brew coffee - when i press the button to make espresso nothing happens.. I've tried all the troubleshooting options - nothing works.

The machine is sensing one of the following is not properly fitted in.
Check bean lid, brewing unit is properly latch in, dreg drawer and tray is in, and water tank. And make sure the knob is in off position. If all those are properly in ..the green light will start flashing and warming up. When it reaches the working temperature it will start rinsing and it's ready to use.
