This is not a disposable camera if it has phototags. I have 2 sakar digital concepts cameras both had phototags software and are not disposable.
243 photos is most likley the MAXIMUM number of pictuures you can shoot before downloading not the lifetime of the camera.

Ok, I checked around to no avail. So, sight unseen, from the information you provided, I would say that it's not disposable. You said it has Photags Express. That is inexpensive image software. I can't imagine software coming with a disposable camera.

Sakar International is an importer. They aquire items very cheaply and sell them to distributors...like Walmart. Walmart in turn marks the product up to cover cost and make a profit. Not that it's a bad thing, but know this: all cameras have a lifespan. It's measured in "shutter clicks". Most good cameras have 15000 to 25000 clicks before stuff starts going wrong. You say the box says "243 photos"...i wonder if that's "clicks"? Know what I mean? or it holds that many pictures before you have to download? Anyway, food for thought. Remember...you get what you pay for.

I would return it and save a little more from your next check and get the next step up. Walmart has many other cameras. You would be happier from even a Casio over Digital Concepts. - Just my humble opinion. I'm not trying to talk you out of it, I'm "just throwing it out there".

Hope this helps you out. If you have any further questions, just leave me a comment. If not, feel free to rate my solution and thanks for coming to FixYa.

The cam to pc USB cables are cheap and available at Best Buy or Wal-Mart. Just count the number of pins in the cam side of the cable to get the right one. Choose DELETE AFTER DOWNLOADING in Windows.

I just bought this camera at a yard sale. It did not come with a disk. The model number is ST15R-VP. Serial number is 000-008-1141. I would like to know what type of camera it is and how I can get a disk...

If it has a "Super Disc" drive, it will use regular 3 1/4" dicks or Super disks. The regular will hold about 15 pics and the superdisks will hold up to 75. The superdisks will need a special drive unit installed into the PC.

This is what the cord will look like. You can buy this cord at Wal-Mart, Staples, OfficeMax, Best Buy, etc. Any electronics store should sell them. Just ask to see USB cables and that you're look for one for your camera and explain what the cord looks like if you're unable to locate one in the store.

Good Luck!

Uploading pics to mac from SD card in camera

Have you tried using an external card reader?

They look similar to this at Wal-Mart:

I own a mac and always use an external usb card reader to download my pics and it works great. Also, I know that you need to get your pics off first, but you may need to reformat you card at some point so that it will read faster and work quicker in your camera.

For your software issue, have you tried download the software from kodak's website? The program shouldn't cause your apple to crash. I would try re-installing it from there website.

Pixel Problem with printing pics from Canon 1000D

I would check the file size of your individual photos on your computer. If the large size is in the megabyte range and the image dimension (11 X14 etc.) is normal it's probably the Wal-Mart's fault.
