I have a 2000 Voyager..We came out of store and used remote to open the doors. All that we got was a clicking of the relays, even with no keys inserted. I was able to get jump start and drove the van home, Battery was dead. I charged the battery overnite and still could not start the van. Sometimes the engine justs cranks but does not start. I even got a new battery thinking that the battery output might be to low. Now I just get clicking of relays when I turn the key on, not even trying to start van. What can I do to resolve this issue.

Installed by Circuit City in Poughkeepsie, NY with a life time warrenty. Who can I go to?

If you have an alarm, or remote start with an alarm, you need to press and hold thethe valet button which would be hidden under the dash on the driver side, as you are turning the key sometimes remote starts have a starter disable or an alarm option to reset it that is what needs to be done, some systems even if you dont have an alarm go into a valet mode if your remote battery is old or you never reset it or the alarm kicked in or what have you. if this does not work for you then you will need to bring it to a dealership and have them do a total reset to the computer you can also try disconnecting the negative battery cable, but do this with the door open cause it will reset everything, and google the reset procedure for the key fob (remote).. do that reset for the remote and it should save you money from having to bring it to a shop or dealer.
hope this helps.

Have you taken it to a car audio shop? If you bought it and had it installed at one they should warranty it. Let me know if now and if you still need some help let me know.

Remote starter in valet mode Symptoms: Lock and Unlock buttons work as normal, but pressing Start does not produce any response from the vehicle.
Causes: Someone accidentally pressed the combination of buttons to put the car into valet mode, usually when the remote is in a purse or pocket. Also, many remote car starters will revert to valet mode when the vehicle is disconnected for service.
Hood Pin Has Broken or Failed Symptoms: Pressing Start results in several flashes of the parking lights but no start. If equipped, Lock and Unlock still function.
Cause: In most cases, the under-hood pin switch is broken or corroded.
Remote Control Loses Programming Symptoms: Pressing any button on the remote results in no response from vehicle.
Cause: It is rare, but does happen - in most cases, this is caused by a dead battery in the vehicle or the battery having been disconnected when being serviced.
Remote starters usually have some type of non-volatile memory to retain things like programming features and remote control codes. Like any "computer" device, sometimes they lose memory. When this happens, simply call the store that installed it for you. In some cases, they may be able to tell you how to reprogram it over the phone. Other times, you will have to return to the store for a technician to program it. In any case, this is rare with higher-end remote starters.
Remote is in Second-car Mode Symptoms: Pressing any button on the remote results in no response from vehicle.
Causes: A combination of buttons were accidentally pressed, which put the remote in second-car mode.
Again, this is very rare, but happens from time to time. Many remote car starter remote controls have the ability to start two vehicles. If the remote is accidentally placed into second-car mode, it will not start or operate vehicle #1.
Simply read your owner's manual or call your installer for directions on how to revert the remote back to car #1.

Car starts without using remote

Timed start. The timed start mode is activated by pressing the lock and unlock button simutaneously. The timed start mode is canceled by starting the car with the key or pressing the brake pedal while the remote starter is activated.

How to disable alarm on 1999 dodge durango

Battery removal will not work. What will work is this: Use key to lock and then unlock driver's side door. I unclipped both horns at passenger side of engine compartment at front because they will go off while you are doing this procedure. I used this procedure last night after a rear passenger accidentally set of my alarm. I know this works! My vehicle is a 99' Durango.

Where does the orange armed wire hook up at on my 2001 dodge durango

The orange wire applys a negative ground output only while the system is armed (when you press the lock button), the wire will then go dead when you press unlock. The orange wire can be used to enable a starter kill relay if desired. If your Durango has the factory immobiliser chip in the key then a starter kill relay would be redundant and not required. So it is only an option.

2000 Toyota Rav4, just purchased. Has a two button Toyota FOB for door locks, alarm and remote starter? . The vehicle has a OEM Toyota remote starter installed but I don't know what combination of buttons...

My ex girlfriend had a factory installed honda remote strt on her vehicle. It was activated by hitting the lock button two times in succession. Some vehicles use a combination of the lock-unlock buttons. try using some combinations on the remote, many "oem" remote starts are installed by aftermarket installers so who knows what they did as a start function, it could also have been changed by the previous owner.

Alarm

Mine has done this and i as well do not have a working remote. To disengage it just put the key in the driver door lock and turn for 2-3 seconds and it will disengage. i didn't even know mine had an alarm until coming out of work one night and it went off and i could not get it to turn off unless i went to "unlock" the door and hold it there for a few seconds.
