Plug it in? Funny question LOL>>>>>

Next time if it happens again make sure to unplug all your expensive electronic appliances then reset the breaker.

Open the back and check the main fuse on the power supply board, if it is open try to replace it with new once with same rating (ampheres) and if it blows again meaning some important components got shorted in the board during the power loss and your TV might be the cause why the breaker trip off.

Sony KDL 46HX820 turns on, then off and red light blinks four times.

Re: Bravia KDL46EX720. Red LED blinks 4 times and TV wont turn on. What is the problem?

Do a Power Reset.

1. Turn off the TV.
2. Unplug the power cord of the TV from the electrical outlet.
3. Let the TV remain without power for 60 seconds.
4. Plug the power cord back into the electrical outlet. (If the television is plugged into a power strip or surge protector, remove it from the power strip or surge protector and plug it directly into the wall outlet. If the issue is resolved, the problem is with the power strip or surge protector and not the television.)
5. Turn on the TV.

If the issue still persists after performing power reset, that may be an indication that the TV needs service. You may refer to this link to locate the nearest Sony authorized service center in your area.

Try to plug it into a different electrical socket and try it without any extension cords or power strips (sometimes the socket or extension cord is to blame)
