After power was turned off for a brief period of time, the display now reads, " 88 A8". Please help me reset or correct this.
The power went out, then came back on a minute later. I held the Energy Saver and the Lighting buttons together for about 10-15 seconds. That reset the refrigerator. Nothing else worked.

What Samsung said is untrue....
The fridge and freezer have default settings...8 and 38 deg. If it looses power and is restored it will default to that....
This fridge is a complex device and is compute chip controlled.
There are tests that you can run if you have the ability to read and follow directions....That will allow you to guide a service person to what your problem is. They will probably not have this information so I am giving you the link to the service manual...

Just happened to me with a power flash- fixed it by pressing and holding the Freezer and Frig buttons together until the screen flashed and reset. Wheww! Though it was a gonner! Fine now:) Hope it works for you!
