Whe wipers on my car do not work and neither do the squirters...what's wrong with it?

you could have a blown fuse pull the cover off the fuse box, that is located under the dash board on the driver side. inside the cover there is a diagram of which fuse is which. find the one for your wipers and check it, pull it out and inspect it visually its usually pretty obvious if its bad it will look burned out if the fuse looks intact, there may be another fuse in this circuit. if it's blown replace it and check if that worked if not, check the power to the wiper motor and washer fluid pump both have power then it could be a bad wiper control switch on the handle attached to the steering wheel.i hope this helps.

DCC-1150 Coffee Maker does not have power

Talked to Cuisinart tech support and they told me to unplug and leave it for 2 hours... that resets it to the factory defaults.
It looks like a thermal fuse might have blown inside your appliance.
If a thermal fuse has failed, there is probably another problem inside.
If the appliance is 4 months old, still cover under manufacturers warranty, Call the Cuisinart customer service to ask them where to find an authorized service center.
Hope this works for you.

Full electrical failure. no lights no radio no horn no hazards nothing. fuseable links are ok. battery connections are ok.battery is ok. no visable burnt wiring.what is the problem? thelights and...

suggest that you check main fuse box, under the hood.look for black box.may be on drivers or passenger side fenderwell. remove the cover, turn the cover of fuse box over for fuse locations.look for a blown main fuse. such as e.c.m. fuse.or main engine fuse. i'm trying to visualize you engine. and the underhood,if the battery terminals are tight and free from corrosion, it has to be at the main fuse box.turn the key to on position, go to main fuse box under hood, make sure that you turn the headlights to 'on' position before you open the box on main fuse panel, this will tell you if and where the shorts at,if there is may only be a blown main engine fuse. pull each fuse, one by one, checking them to see if any of them are blown.wiggle each fuse before you remove it,there may be a short in the main engine fuse panel. as long as your headlights are pulled on,if you find a problem, they will come on. this will narrow your search.make SURE your battery terminals are TIGHT. if you come across the problem, you know that battery's good.that headlights will come on when you find the problem.if all else fails, try a boost from another car with cables and go back through the system again. it may be a bad ground wire, and if the car starts after a boost, you'll know that it's a bad ground engine wire. the engine will not start, unless the motors grounded. that could be a bad starter solenoid,or bad ground to car from the motor.thank you for choosing let me know if i've assisted you.look forward to assisting you in the future. oncallmech

The fan unit outside isnt running. is it a blown fuse perhaps?

There is no fuse box. Open the cover and see if the wires goingto fan are not burnt.(Power off the AC before opening cover). If not, you need to check it live with a voltmeter to see if its getting voltage. If the voltage are on motor wires, motor is burnt.

Another thermostat question...

Your A/C if wired correctly, had a double breaker in your breaker panel. Find all the double breakers and turn them all the way off and on again. If that does not fix the problem, next to the heater should be a box with a little cover on it and inside should be a fuse or a small breaker. This is powers the control board the heater and the A/C see if it need to be reset or if a fuse unscrew it and look in the glass window on top and see if it is burnt or blown

Sky box will not switch on

I know this sounds very obvious, is there power at the wall outlet?.
(In the UK,) has the fuse in plug top blown?.
If both above ok, check fuse inside sky box. IT IS IMPORTANT THAT YOU MAKE SURE THE POWER LEAD IS REMOVED FROM THE SUPPLY. Remove screws from sky box cover and remove top, around where lead enters the unit you should find a glass fuse, if this has blown it should be replaced with identical value fuse as that which was originally fitted, failure to do this will cause ireversable damage.
Good luck

It's a little unusual to have a bad capacitor described as burnt up? Was the unit hit by lightning. I would be sure to establish what caused the initial failure before i tried to power up again. After you've done that, establish whether or not you have the 24v you need to close the compressor relay then backtrack from the compressor until you find where those 220v's are hiding- lol. GL!

If the AC power source (outlet) is ok and the line cord and fuse are ok but the unit is completely dead, you may have a problem with the internal switching power supply.

Locate the switching power supply and see if there is a fuse on its circuit board.

Completely dead units are typically caused by a failure in the power supply section.

Please let me know if I can be of further assistance to you.

Good luck!

NO POWER, Yes blown fuse.

Was this the 220 ohm in the power supply??? and if the 5 amp blew right away then it probably took out the bridge rectifyer with the power surge that comes alog with hurricane damage to the power lines as I used to live in florida and repaired lots of sets damaged from storms!! After you check the bridge rectifyers I would start looking to find any other shorts. First measure across the ac line with the fuse replaced but not plugedf in . If its shorted check what I mentioned before if its good after you replace the shorted parts you maybe in luck. need more assistance go to sams photo facts download a schematic and we will trouble shoot this together if you post it here so i can look at it. good luck

Pioneer VSX-D409 - Remote Control Problem Hello. I'm from Brazil and I have a 12 years old Pioneer VSX-D409 Receiver. My problem is related to the page 16 and 17 of the Owner's Manual. I'm trying to do the steps to Set up the surround mode, changing some settings and the type of connection I use to delivers sound to receiver, using optical cables. Well... I just cannot enter this mode, the surround setting mode. At this moment I'm hearing the sound from a FM station on the speakers. But just this function works. Tuner, wiht FM station. The remote control works only to: - Turn on or off the receiver. - Change the volume level. - Set the loudness function (on or off). - Change the function of the receiver (to select Tuner, DVD, TV or other device in, but I don't gain access to change some specs like distance, speakers volume levels or type of connection of each device). And nothing more. The remote control has seven buttons on the top: DVD/LD, TV/SAT, VCR/DVR, CD, TUNER, CD-R/TAPE/MD and TV CONT. According to the source device you want to use, you just press the button and the receiver selects the IN connection (coaxial or optical or just the Tuner to listen FM stations) and reproduces the audio. Until last week, anytime I press this button, the source device was selected. But, of course, I didn't use all of them. Just two: TV SAT and DVD. Why? This receiver has two optical IN units on its backside. I have two optical cables connected in the receiver. Optical 1 is connected to a PS3 and Optical 2 is connected to a SmarTV. Before my hollyday's trip, all the connections were allright. But not today!! The problem is: I do not have access to the process to change the type of connection that is assigned to the device I've choosen. I want to do this: TV/SAT --> OPT1 (to the audio from PS3); DVD --> OPT2 (to the audio from Smartv); The process is described at the page 16 to 21 of the owner's manual. But, it doesn't starts. Seems my remote control just forgeted how to do this or is blocked in another function. I don't know how to fix it and need some tip or help. Thank You! :)
