START/RESET LIGHT STAYS CONTINUOUSLY ON

This light will not shut off unless the door is fully shut. Is this normal for its operation? It seems to me like you should be able to reset the machine if you are not intending to wash dishes.

This is normal. The door latch has safety switch that will not let the machine do ANYTHING unless door is latched. If you need to do maintenance, then you can pry with a screwdriver, or possibly tape the switch so the machine can still run

GE Monogram Microwave will not work after power outage; what could be wrong with it? Model #: ZSC2001FSS 02

Yes i put surge protectors on my kitchen outlets.
Micro wave ovens hav a series of micro switches that handle ac power to the magnotron to prevent operation with door open and so the light comes on the a relay so the timer can shut it off.
Nothing for your specufic model. But unless it simply has a trace melted off a circuit board like an old modem i fixed once after a lightening storm or a burnt up switch that is not letting the CPU logic timer chip reset than i would guess that the chip got zapped by a power surge and you may have to conntact GE for a new board or search online forone
A bad door switch on one oven i had prevented it from shutting off a proved quite dangerous . Some swtches are are wired normally off some are on until the door is shut and this function must be verified before wasting mony on a board or trusting the machine to operate safely. That certified personel clause on the liability disclaimer sticker
Oddly enough zapped appliances have come back after being unplugged for a time then cycling power a time or two.

The light in my freezer stays on when the door is closed.

I am curious how you know it is on unless you get inside. Some have magnet switches that will not cycle until the gasket seals.

Red stand by light blinking continuously black screen

It cannot be reset fully unless it comes on and stays on (the model you have listed here.)

That set should have a blink error code--watch the red power light to see if blinking in a number sequence like 7blinks pause and repeats over and over.

On the back of the garage door opener there is a red button. Depress this button and sync your keypad to the opener. This will re-establish the code and reset the remote.

Oil light comes on at first starting shut off engine and re start and light i s off

I don't think there is anything to worry about, unless the light stays on. Think of the light as an oil pressure guage. When you first start the engine the oil pressure is very low, so the light Will be on. When the oil pressure reaches normal operating level, or a safe oil pressure, then the light will go off.

Dishwasher won't run. Normal light and cancel light flashing cont

Hi,

The door latch pulls the door tightly closed to prevent water leakage around the door. It is also designed to prevent operation while the door is open. The door latch works in concert with the door switch to ensure that the door is tightly closed and latched. The door switch is a separate part from the door latch and is found inside the cabinet. The switch is off when the door is open. Depressing the switch closes the circuit and enables dishwasher operation. Closing the door does not depress the switch all the way. Only when the door is closed and latched, does the door fully depress the switch.

If the door latch is not properly aligned it may not pull the door tightly closed and the door switch will not be fully depressed. Unless the switch is fully depressed the dishwasher will not operate. It is a simple matter to determine whether the door latch is the problem. Simply open the door, close the latch and select a cycle and depress the switch. Note that if the test is successful, with the door open, the dishwasher will operate and water may spray out. Make sure to first remove all tools from inside the dishwasher. Do not reach inside the dishwasher during the test. Now, inspect the cabinet where the door makes contact with it and locate the door switch. It may have a protruding button or spike or more likely it is a hole with a piece of metal or plastic inside it. You must fully depress that switch. If the switch is recessed, then use a non-conductive object, such as a wooden pencil, to depress the switch.

Thank you !!
