It is defective - find out if you are still in warranty by calling Philips. Overheating is bad news.

Please help my daughters rca act6077w22 will not turn on and when it's charging guys hot. Please help she needs this for her homer schooling she only 3 and doing kindergarten work. Tia

Any phone or tablet can get worm., while sharing. But as long as it is hot, you can't switch it on. It is a protection in the device.
If it is getting really hot, please visit a repair centre, because it is not allowed to get hot. If it does, there must be something serious wrong.

I have power to the acc wire to the radio, but no power to the all time hot, I can't get any power to turn the radio on. I also don't have a diagram to check the fuses.

You shouldn't have any power from the acc wire. That wire is switched by the radio as an output if you had an accessory such as a power antenna or an amp.

My creative zen is hot after charge

It is possible that there is a heat sensor that is preventing it from turning on because it is hot. I do know that there is a cold sensor that will shut it off if it is too cold. I have never seen a heat warning on mine and I sometime leave it in the car where it is 140 degrees. You can try to press the reset button on the bottom. Will it turn on when plugged into power?

How can I reset my zodiac mp3 player?

I once had a similar issue and found that the switch had to be on. If yours has a switch as well as a button to power on you should check it. If it won't even turn on to play stuff or anything you might try checking the battery. Lithium ion batteries have several built in safety features that disable the battery if it gets too hot or gets overcharged, or even if it runs completely dead. It has a built in power monitor that can run the last bit of power out and that can also disable the battery. Ideally li-ion batteries should be stored with 40 to 60 percent charge and kept refrigerated to maximize their life span. At room temperature they lose about 20 percent capacity per year. If all else fails you could try running a virus scan, unlikely though.

I had the same problem. The mother card is grilled and you'll need to send it back for repairs.

can't do it yourself.

H10 20gb-hot and won't turn on

Heat = bad = kills electronics. Every Mp3 player gets hot when you use it, but some get unreasonably hot because there is a piece of defective hardware.

Try the soft fixes first though - remove and reinsert the batteries, check for firmware upgrades from iRiver's website (their site is full of good information), and use any repair/recovery tool that IRiver suggests.

Most likely, though, this Mp3 player is seeing its last days. There is no repair service for such a problem that would cost less than a new Mp3 player.
