Never mind. I fixed my own STUPID question. First I looked at the properties of the "PCI DEVICE" in question, and seen that it was located in pci bus 2. Then I googled the motherboard and a diagram of it, and located pci bus 2. I noticed the card in that slot is an IEEE card, Well I wont be needing that so problem solved! Not bad for a newbie. Thanks for looking

Hi, when you see the yellow of PCI devices this means you have to check all the cards that connect to your board as PCI, so this could be sound card, vedio card, modem or any pci card, just double check with your pci cards, so if you have pci sound or vedio see if the driver there if not will be one of them, But many times people doesnot recognize that they have extra pci card which could be for usb use, or output devices, etc...

How to erase the hard drive?

You can use a HP recovery disc for your model computer which will return the computer to out of the box condition. You may need to purchase this disc from the HP WEB site.
If you just want to wipe the hard disk clean and sell it without an operating system installed then you can use this program.

Hp pavilion 760n when turned on it makes clicking sound for a while and stops the monitor screen is blank with only a curser flashing in the top left corner.

The clicking is coming from the hard disk - it has died - so the BIOS is signalling that the OS is missing - cursor flashing in the top left corner.
Replace the hard disk and reinstall Windows.

HP pavilion a400n PC not booting....

1. Did you you run the Win 7 simulation prior to upgrading to Win 7? 2. How much RAM does your PC have? I just checked your specifications http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?lc=en&lang=en&cc=us&product=391284&dlc=en&docname=c00057188
Your computer takes a max of 1GB RAM and the minimum required for Windows 7 is 2 GB. This PC is not fit for Win 7. Sorry.
