Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control

1 Answer

Second remote not working correctly.

Second remote will not respond in many cases unless remote is waved or pressed many times. Volume, on/off work fine. Changing channels and working the guide are the problem. Even pressing the actual channel #'s does not alway work. Batteries are OK. What to do? Need a new remote? First remote works perfect

My second remote will only work if it is right in front of the receiver. It works for the tv, but not the satellite.

Remote control stopped working changed batteries and still not working

Here are a few suggestions to help you with this problem:
It is possible that the battery contacts are corroded so you might try expecting the contacts and cleaning them. Since you cannot see if the IR signal is being sent, you can use another IR remote that you know works and see if you can Jam the signal of the working remote with your Hql-260wr remote. To do this, push the volume up button on the TV remote and hold it down while at the same time using the known working remote to control its companion product. If the working unit stops responding correctly when the volume button is pressed, it is transmitting an IR signal.

In this case, since you confirmed that the remote is transmitting, you can make sure that you are on the correct device settings for the remote. If you select the TV setting for instance, see if the remote now can control the TV. The main functions to try first are volume and channel buttons.

If this does not work, you will need to find out where the IR receiver is on the TV and make sure that the receiver lens is not blocked by something such as another device like a video console, etc.

Replaced battery now nothing works, doors dont unlock, car doesnt start,no sounds when pressing buttons although it still sang when battery replaced, pressed "P" button hoping it would do something and now it...

The waves mean that the remote is vibrate mode. Try reprogramming the remote. Open the door, turn ignition on, press and release the valet button once then, press and hold the valet button. press the lock button on the remote. Vehicle should respond with a chirp from the siren. Release valet button, turn off ignition, test system.

I have AT&T uverse and a 42" Emerson

ATT Uverse remote doesn't work well with Emerson TVs.
Most will turn off with the correct code but NOT ON.
Find the code that will turn OFF the Emerson TV.(volume should work too)
When you want to want to turn ON your Emerson TV Try This (Believe it or not)
Wave ATT Remote slowly and press ON in mid wave. The ATT remote on frequency must be slightly off. This works every time for me now that I know the secret. Remember Doppler Effect from High School Physics.

Need intructions how to program remote control on vip722k second receiver

Press and hold down the SETUP button located on the remote. Wait until the INDICATOR light turns on. It will blink once the button is pushed, however once you see the indicator light stay one, release the button. Click the button to the DEVICE you wish to program. If it is a TV, then click the TV button. If it is the cable box, then click CBL button. After doing so, the indicator should still stay on. Press the DOWN CHANNEL button several times until you see the RECEIVER yo wish to program respond. Example: If it is a TV, then you will notice the CHANNEL change once the remote locates the correct settings for that receiver. If you see the receiver respond and you are pushing the down channel button but nothing is working, it means you passed the internal settings of the remote to the receiver. Try pushing the CHANNEL UP button slowly. It may be able to relocate the the proper settings. Once you see the channel change again, press ENTER to program the remote. If this fails, retry the same steps. In some cases you may miss the correct internal settings.

Logitech harmony 890 fails to change channel or pull up guide. Will turn on television and adjust volume, but all other commands do not respond.

Did the behavior of your remote change or have you just started using the remote? If this is an initital setup, ensure that you have selected the correct model numbers and that your setup configuration is correct in the Logitech software. Many problems have been resolved by going back to the software configuration and making sure that all of the devices and mappings are correct. Assuming the programming is correct and things were working properly at one time and no longer are then you need to determine if the issue is a physical problem with the button activation (key presses are not making contact), or a software problem (corrupted programming). So here are some things to look
for:

When you press a key, do you see the 'transmit wave' icon appear at the top of the LCD screen? If so, then the remote is registering the key press. This means that the physical operation of the button is ok, so in this case, your issue is probably firmware/software related. You should update the remote's firmware and then re-load your settings. Both of these procedures are done using the Logitech software. If, after doing
a refresh of your firmware/software, there is still a problem, you can try mapping some of the hard keys to 'soft' keys on the LCD screen. So, instead of using the "Guide" button, you have a "Guide" option on the screen. The link below will explain the process for re-mapping button functions (it describes the process for the 880, but it should be the same for the 890). Hope this helps!

Emerson tv and at&t uverse

Try code 1465. On my Emerson LCD TV the only thing it won't do is turn the TV on -- all other functions are controlled by the AT&T U-Verse remote however.
