I have same dishwasher and the same problem. I just had the Module Control Assembly replaced by a GE service person, and things worked for about 1 week. Also, I don't know how this happened, but when the repair person took the door apart it was full of roaches. I have been spraying my house regularly and have never seen the type of roaches that were in the door. It was really gross. Not sure if this was the problem or not. We sprayed everything with RAID and my bug guy sprays all around the dishwasher thoroughly so they don't get into the kitchen. I guess that's South Louisiana for you. I am about to order a new Module Control Assembly, but maybe it is my keypad. Any help for me would be appreciated too? I've already spent $175 on this issue!

SOURCE: start button on the HMI won't work

There is a ribbon cable that connects to the control panel. Mine was operating the same as yours. I opened up the front and reinserted the cable and its been fine ever since. you need to take all the screws out from the door panel inside the washer to geet to it.

SOURCE: power outtage blues

Hello daniedag,
Unfortunately, your dishwasher may have experienced a power surge when the power went off and dmaged some internal components or the control logic. There is no way of knowing the extent of your problem without a thorough diagnostics to it. It could be something as simple as a circuit borad component, stuck relay but this kind of repair is probably not something you would want to tackle yourself unless properly trained and with the proper test equipment. If you have homeowners insurance, it may cover the damage.. If not, then a service call is most likely required. Here is a link to the GE website for yopur dishwasher but your model is not PWD9200 and IS PDW9200

Hope this helps..

SOURCE: I have a ge profile performance dishwasher and it

There are two ways to reset it: first to reset press and hold the RINSE ONLY/HEATED DRY button for 30 seconds. Second way to reset is by pressing these buttons in sequence...high temp wash then heated dry...high temp wash then heated dry...follow this for around 4 times and then wait for 2 minutes to reset the unit. If the issue returns then it is either the heating element or the control board that is bad and should be replaced. Please Hope this helps...please post back for further assistance.

What does a 5h code indicate

The GE dishwasher error codes I have seen start with a letter (usually "C") not a number. I suspect that this isn't an error, but an indication that you have activated the system to delay starting the dishwasher. I believe 5h represents a 5 hour delay. Pressing the "Delay" button should cycle through the different selections and eventually bring it back to Zero.

GE profile PDW9280J00SS dishwasher. It will not start. The keys on the keypad light up except the start buttom. I push start and nothing happens. all the other button are lit and i think work. Do I need to...

Possibly, but first, check the door switches and their cover to make sure they are OK. You will have to seperate the inner and outer halves of the door to get to them, located where the tub latch protrudes into the door.

Dishwasher ran all night still not finished. Error code 4H displaying.

Hi and welcome to FixYa. I am Kelly. The 4H is indicating your dishwasher is in the delayed wash start mode. Here is some information from Sears about what to do:

  • The number letter combination indicates that the dishwasher is in a "Delay Start" mode, as well as how many hours were set for the delay start.
  • The dishwasher will not start the wash until it reaches the delayed hour that it was set for. Example: 1H = 1 hour delay start, 2H = 2 hour delay start, etc.
    • To start the dishwasher immediately and not wait for the Delay Start time, cancel the "Delay Start" option, by pressing the Cancel button. Then program the cycle and options and press Start.
    • To start the dishwasher after the Delay time, select the cycle and options desired. Select the "Delay Start" option and on some dishwashers it requires, pressing the Start button.
    • Some dishwashers will display a countdown of the delay time on the display.
Note: Refer to the Owner's Manual or Use & Care Guide for specific instructions on using the "Delay Start" feature.

If you need more assistance we will need your exact model number in any of your future responses.
Thanks for choosing FixYa,

I am gettting a message on my dishwasher that says 1h

I think that the delayed use is engaged.  Wait an hour, and it will probably start up on its own.

there is no real way of checking the keypad. Not with a meter but if you push normal wash for example and it does not respond this usually means that you have a bad keypad
