Here is the link for the EPIA just look at your motherboard to figure out which one you have. Somewhere on the motherboard will have the numbers you need to figure it out. Hope this helps and don't forget to rate.

I unable to play a game because VGA compatible device not found in my computer & i want to install this. How can i install this explain it? & i am using XP

VGA compatible device not found represents that either your bios couldnt recognize the VGA hardware or your OS pnp service couldnt initialize the Hardware for VGA. Either these cases, we should look for the level of Hardware detection at which it fails. If its an onboard VGA device, you may need to replace it with an addon VGA card based on the Mother Board compatibility and then try install it again. This should solve the issue.

Good Luck.

I try to movies on DVD, it says please install VGA

Hi,
This is because the graphics card driver is not installed\corrupted. I've you have the driver CD insert it and install the driver for the graphics card. Else go to HP.com and select 'Drivers and download', specify your laptop model and Operating system. Download the drivers and install it.
Please come back and vote for me if this turns to be helpful for you of also if you need more clarifications. Thnx

No video output from atapi dvd rw after OS reinstall, cd rw ok

>> VGA controller (vga compatible) error in the device manager

Windows has not found a "good" device-driver for the "integrated" video-controller on your motherboard; it is using the "generic" adapter.

So, trying to download the "SIS Mirage Graphics" software is an attempt by Windows to download a "specific" device-driver that matches your video-adapter hardware.

You might try installing an add-in video-card, to see if Windows will install the correct device-driver, and still boot-up correctly.

Otherwise, take the computer to a qualified technician, for trouble-shooting about your boot-up problem.

My drive crashed so i installed a new hard drive, and used the disks provided to install windows xp,and drivers, but I'm noticing that the following drivers did not install, the base system device,...

Try to manually update the drivers.
Go to Settings/Control Panel/System
Hardware tab
Then Device Manager
Click on one and update.
Let the OS search the CD with the drivers.
(You may have to navigate to the correct directory)

If this fails you will have to go to the DELL website and download the drivers for your machine.

Hope this helps!
Good luck!

It doesn't play some of the downloaded torrents movies

firt you have runed your movies where? in pc or dvd device? if you have runed in pc you need a new video program that opens the movies. here are one of them the most powerful that opens mostly dvd formats, storm codec 7 . you can download from internet just write in the google search bar and is finished. if you have raned your movies in a dvd device .. well not all this dvd have the capability to run all the formats so you must change formats first in your pc that is compatible with your dvd player and after that make a dvd copy and the problem is solved

Playing movies from external hard drive

Both methods will work, but you will tend to have more control on the quality of the saved video if you "rip" the DVD yourself.  There are several methods to rip a DVD.  One, you can use the program SUPER, which is free, to rip to a single file.  Otherwise you will have to use several programs.  The second method is to use DVD Decrypter to rip the dvd. Then use VOB2MPG to combine the separate VOB files.  Finally, use SUPER to compress the DVD video to your liking.  In order to use your external hard drive to display to your TV, you have 2 choices.  One, move your computer to your living room and buy an aftermarket video card to output to the TV.  Two, buy a cheap computer which can run video w/o lagging and install an aftermarket video card to output to the TV.  I hope this helps in your DVD video adventures.

Poor video quality with windows movie maker

Windows movie maker is just a generic xp add on that I am sure was an after thought and never will give you good quality movies it does alright and should give acceptable results if you have a good graphics card and vga card but try useing nero to burn movies the burning speeds can be slowed right down to give exellent quality and if you just want a reasonable quality dvd you can turn the burn speed up to burn faster but you always sacrafice quality for speed on any dvd burning program unless you go get a profestional one and upgrade to much higher quality graphics and vga cards you also need a good deal of ram to

Right click on My Computer, choose Properties, Hardware Tab, Device Manager. Expand the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, choose Secondary IDE Channel (Double Click) Advanced Settings. Current transfer mode should be highest level of DMA (if it is PIO mode that is likely your problem).
If it is PIO mode, click the driver tab and make sure the driver provider is Microsoft. If not, make sure you have the driver available. If the provider is Microsoft close out of the Secondary IDE Channel Properties window, right click on the Secondary IDE Channel in Device Manager, and choose uninstall.
Reboot the computer, then open device manager again, highlight IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers, right click and choose Scan for Hardware Changes. It will find the Secondary IDE Channel and reinstall it. The transfer mode should be DMA. Your CD/DVD will play like normal.

DVD Stutters

Most likely, WinXP is forcing your Secondary IDE (master) to run in PIO mode rather than DMA mode. This could come about after playing a scratch DVD. WinXP makes a quasi-permanent change here that you cannot alter with Device Manager.

Here's the solution I found at http://winhlp.com/node/10

To Remedy, use regedit:
Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E96A-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
(note ..96A-E325... is UNIQUE)

Under this key, look for the entry "0000" or "0001" etc. that has the following properties:
DriverDesc = Secondary IDE Channel
MasterIdDataChecksum = ?some value?

Delete the MasterIdDataChecksum line from this entry, then reboot windows.

Verify using Device Manager that the secondary IDE channel is now "DMA mode".

Good luck.
