No. If you press reset, you do not loose your music. It just resets your system, cleaning up any freezes or errors that had happened.

My SAMSUNG YP-U3 MP3 Player got stuck on 'USB Connecting'. The screen remains the same no matter whether it is plugged in the laptop or taken out. I cannot turn it off or do anything else with it. Can you...

I would attempt a factor reset (though you may lose your music) by pressing the reset button on the usually a tiny hole with a red dot recessed it it...with the point of a pen. Just hold it in for a minute to reset everything.

My ipod nano #7l6528edvq5 is not recognize by my pc and the port usb is correct what can i do for changing my music on

The iPod Nano digital media player, like any electronic device, can freeze and quit working properly. When this happens, reset the device to restore functionality and unfreeze the device. Performing this reset process allows you to continue using your iPod Nano device without losing any of your digital media content.

Press and hold the "Sleep / Wake" button on your iPod Nano. Press and hold the "Volume Down" button while continuing to hold the "Sleep / Wake" button. Wait approximately eight seconds for the Apple logo to appear on your iPod Nano's display. You have now unfrozen and reset your iPod Nano.

Wont turn on

You can reset the player without losing the music, but Repairs and firmware Updates will result in songs being erased.

Make sure the hold/lock switch is not activated.
If it is not, then try a different USB port on your computer.

If you get the same result:
Triple Reset for Philips’ GoGear:

Disconnect the Go Gear from computer. Press the reset pinhole until the player turns off. Hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard. If this pop-up does not appear, reset the player again WHILE connected to the computer. Open the Philips Device Manager, and go to Repair Tab. Reset the player one more time while connected to computer. Follow the repair instructions.

After repair is complete, upgrade the firmware for this player. Will erase all the songs, but you should be good to go again.

Look for a firmware upgrade on the internet.

Once you find one, run it with the player in the upgrader mode and it should reboot.

You may lose your music.
