Try re encoding the movie. Looks like the synchronization process got laggy. When you re encode, make sure there are no other memory intensive programs running.

does it burn data cd/dvd or audio cd/dvd's ?
you might have to burn it as an ISO image
this might be because you have not selected the option to burn a dvd movie you might have selected another option ie:burn data audio or your burning software does not support movie dvd burning
there are plenty of free burning software programs on the internet

http://www.majorgeeks.com/BurnAware_Free_d5839.html

I can copy a movie but when I go to burn movie on blank disc It tells me it needs a double layer disc why Ive burn movies before on sigel layer and have never had this problem before

The movie exceeds the 4.7 GB size, therefore you need to use the two layer whcih can store about 8.2 GB.

In other words, your movie is to long to fit on single layer!

I keep getting msg that my movie will not fit on disc.

You might have the option to burn project files to the disc turned on.
When you are on the final burn screen, look at the on the bottom left corner and you will an icon, it is a Disc with an "I" and if you have the mouse over it will say "More settings for burning. Select it and then see if you have anything checked under "files to be included on disc"
Most likely if you have a 47 min video and it saying its full this would be the issue and if you don't and all it is a 47 min video ignore the message and burn it anyways and it should work out fine.

WHEN I BURN A MOVIE IT WON'T SHOW UP ON DVD DISC

Sounds like it may have burned the movie file as a data DVD.

In other words, the file gets burned to the DVD just like a Word doc or spreadsheet would, rather than encoded as a movie.

You need to check what format you downloaded it in - it may need conversion before burning as a movie DVD.

You can run a quick web search for *** (your current file format - mpg, divx, etc.) to DVD and find a free utility for conversion.

Then your burning software should be able to burn it as a movie DVD, ready for your player.

The best way to play burned movies is to copy them onto a memory stick or external hard drive then copy them onto the ps3 i use this method and find the movies play in much higher quality than dvd-r or+r or whatever discs you use

I have saved a movie from movie maker and I have tried to burn it to a dvd. I see that it has saved it but it hasn't burned the movie to the dvd. How do I burn it to the dvd.

I beleive that in Windows, when burning something on to disc (be it CD or DVD), you have to go to the actual drive window (via "My Computer" and select "Burn these items to disc". From what I remember of the days I burned discs this then burns the file onto the disc.

Hope this helps!
