To get any owner's manual first place to look in, should be the website of the manufacturer...

SOURCE: password

Download a program called Killcmos from http://www.download3k.com/System-Utilities/Other-Utilities/Download-KILLCMOS.html and it will remove the password. However, disable your antivirus first.

SOURCE: cd/dvd drive on my Dell latitude D810 will not read

Try to clean the laser within the dvd drive with a soft material. If this doesn`t work, try to hear if the cd or dvd is rotating in the drive. If not, the drive should be repaired b specialists.

SOURCE: I need to wipe the slate clean on my Dell Latitude D810.

You can replace the disc drive and then do it within the computer itself.
The other option is to system restore to it's manufactured date, with probably 90% of the time is impossible due to memory limitations of system restore. The next option would be to uninstall all programs and services, and running a few different brand virus scans, and spyware scans then uninstalling them as well. Defragment your hard drive afterwards, and clean disk, use Ccleaner to repair the registry (recommend keeping this jewel on all PCs). This is as close as you really want to get to a wiped clean pc without formatting and reinstalling; which we can't really do without a disc drive.
You could try burning your CD to a flash drive, and messing with the bios to let the PC boot from the flash drive and formatting / repairing and reinstalling from there, but that would involve using a pc with a disc drive.

Dell Latitude D810 defective onboard VGA.

If the onboard VGA is defective, you will need to replace it (through Dell or, by buying a used D810 and taking it apart). Or, alternatively, look into an external USB video 'card'. Either of these will fix the problem, but bad hardware is bad hardware and in the computer world these days, you replace it. Fixing the video card isn't really an option anymore.

Locked laptop

I had the same problem...You will have to send it back to Dell. Or if you are the original owner you can call the and give them the information on the back of the computer and they will give you the number to unlock it. I have done this before,,Good Luck,,,,Darren

Here's a link to the Dell Latitude D810 drivers download page. I would suggest that you also check the BIOS and download that if yours is out of date.
