Question about Viking DFBB363 Bottom Freezer Refrigerator

Viking DFBB363: maybe door sensor problem?

Alarm goes off periodically and one of the internal lights is now off while the other one remains on - and seems to remain on as that top side of the shelf is quite warm. I have turned the entire fridge off and "rebooted" but the same problem still exists. Is there anything I can do before I have a repair person come?

Thanks so much for your help!

Internal fan in refrigrator dont work & noise of door alarm repeat every minute without door opening

My best guess is the 'door closed' sensor is not working correctly, to verify, open the fridge door, find the button the would be pushed when you close the door (often on the hinge side). Push the button with your finger and if the light goes out and the fan starts up, it needs adjusting. If the light does not go out, it needs replacing.

Good luck.

Door open sensor trips and alarm sounds

It's either the sensor itself or the wiring from the sensor to wherever it goes. I would start by swapping the two rear sensors and see if the fault moves to the other side. If not it's the wiring which you will need to trace and check all connectors involved.

I have a 1999 300m the interior lights remain on,

The sensor switch in the door latch is dirty or may have been damaged. Thoroughly spray the door switches with a cleaning spray like carb cleaner. Then give it some canned air to blow out any remaining dirt. Then use a spray lubricant like WD40. After that open and close the door a few times and see if the light goes off when you close the door. If this doesnt work you'll need to take off the door panels to get a better view.

Light not going out in viking frig when door is closed

you have a micro switch at the top of door by the door hinge.must remove top vent cover to access. i've found that if the screws (2 or 3 phillips ) get loose the door is not aligned to open and close the light switch . or maybe the switch itself has failed
