Question about Nintendo Activsion Guitar Hero® World Tour 2-Player Wireless Bundle for Wii

Only one player recognized-says Maximum no. controllers

We have 4 controllers-we load all four to play in band mode but only 1 is permitted to join as player--on other 3 band members we get message" maximum no. controllers" already in use. Any suggestions?

I have 2 guitars, 1 mic and 1 set of drums.. the wii keeps saying that I can only have 4 controllers hooked up and won't let me use all 4 pieces. If I unhook 1 thing, it works fine.. why can't I play all...

because when you use the microphone you also use a regular controller to select stuff and join the band so on that note you have 5 controllers (2 guitars 1 drumset 1 mic and the controller for the mic)

How do I get the wired microphone to work for Wii Rock Band 2?

you must plug in a controler to control that player, plug in a usb controler and the player will be able to join in, this is also the same on the xbox 360, at first we just plugged in the mic and it did not work, after plugging in the controler and the mic, all was well. Good luck, hope this helps

Rockband TrackPack

Unfortunately, the guitar that comes with the Guitar Hero does not work with Rock Band or Rock Band 2. Rock Band, as you mentioned, recognizes the Wiimote as the controller for the microphone.

Unfortunately, you will have to get a guitar that is specifically designed for Rock Band.

I know this isn't the answer that is popular, but if you vote for my solution, please vote at least "Thanks for Trying".

Thanks for using Fixya!

Rock band 1 drums will not work with rock band 2

I have no problem using my Rock Band 1 drums with RB2. Remember that it will only recognize the drums if they are used at the main startup screen. Also, make sure that if you have more than one Wiimote activated that they reset off (You can only have four items max active at any given time, including wiimotes, ie: Wiimote 1, Drums, Wireless Guitar, Wiimote 2 OR Guitar 2).

To accomplish the above, reset your wii, and don't start Rockband up until ALL the wiimotes' lights go out. Then only use one wiimote to navigate. Finally, when you play the game, use the drums to navigate through the menu screens. If you use the wiimote, it will set you up for vocals only.

I can't get Rockband 2 to work with the drums for 1 on the Wii

Rock Band 1 and 2 both have a maximum of 4 allowable inputs. If you have more than two Wiimotes activated at the time your game starts, it won't recognize all your other peripherals. It's also important to note that you should ALWAYS use the instrument you plan to jam with to navigate through the menu system (ie: Using the the drum pads and the + on the drumset to continue).

I have the full RB1 set up and had no problem using RB2 with the old set. If you need further assistance, please post a clarification or comment here.

Good luck!

How do i sync a guitar for the wii???

Ensure that the receiver is plugged into the back of the Wii or into the included 4-Port USB hub that is plugged into the back of the Wii.

Ensure you have fresh batteries installed in the guitar and that the power switch is set to "on".

Start up Rock Band using your Wiimote, and when the game is loaded, the receiver should stop blinking, and your "4 dots" should have one illuminated. If not, press the Rock Band logo button next to the four blue led lights.

Play rock band for wii without mic, drums and guitar only?

Don't use the controller to navigate, that's the vocalist's controls. Go in and out of menus with the instrument you intend on using, don't use the controller.
