Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a droid eris and the phone is locked up I have tried the hard reset and it keeps going back to the screen with the three men at the bottom. I am not able to use my phone. Can anyone help with...

You could try dialing *228 to re-program the phone or pulling the battery out for at least 15 seconds and the put it back in and reboot.
If those options do not work, try resetting it by holding the volume down button and the Send button, then while holding both those buttons, press the End key.
If worse comes to worse, go to the Verizon store and see if they can help.

No dial tone. Can not fax or receive faxes. Tried several phone lines and wires.

two things to check first, make sure the phone cord goes into the unit where it says line and not ext. The second thing to check, plug a regular phone using the same cord and see if you have a dial tone, maybe you really dont. if you need to dial an ext. # first to get a dial tone, you need to program that in.

if all that does not solve the problem, you mostly like have a bad fax board in the unit.

Upon starting up phone;red strip at bottom states"Unlock". Also, states in screen "Initial programming needed". Bought at a swapmeet, looking to service...

you should be able to press one of the buttons under the word unlock to unlock it then to program it you will need to pair it the phone the phone has a bluetooth menu which will say discoverable or something to that effect visible press it then put the hands free in pairing mode by pressing the button under pair or sometimes holding down the button til it says to pair or gives a strange series of beeps depending on the model then on phone hit serach for devices and thenit will ask for a password on both type 0000 and then its set up you can toggle on and off through the hands free option in your phones menu or if by any chance it gives a dial pad dial *228

My phone keeps say....initial programming needed...and ihave no idea what that means

Dial *228 and press send. Listen for the prompt and press 1 to program your phone. Remain on the call while your phone is programmed (could take up to 2 minutes). Do not hang up until you hear, 'Your phone has been programmed successfully."
If that does not work call 1-800-922-0204
