Turn off tv and check all connections and unplug it from power supply. make sure that everything is connected tightly on the back of tv( cables and stuff) turn it back on, if you see a red flashing light or red solid light, chances are there might be a problem on the capacitor or wirings inside it.
hello there's a couple of things that could be wrong .the high pitch noise could be the convegance chip shorted out these are 2 big black chips connected to a metal frame called a heatsink the other could be the lamp burn't out
Hi,do you hear any strange noises? if you heart clicking or like wanting to turn on it could be the ballast that's the board that powers the lamp.Do you hear buzzing, whirling,or high pitch sounds? If you do it could be the color wheel which is a little disc looking that when the light of the lamp goes through it creates the colors on the tv.This are the most common failures on samsungs.
The colorwheel is your problem. To confirm this, unplug the tv, then listen thru the air vents in the back as you plug the tv in. You will probably hear a ticking sound. If you do, that is the colrwheel. If the colrwheel is working, youwill be able to hear it "spin up". It will be a sudden high pitch whine. Let me know if I can be of further assistance
my d52w19 chassis itc222 as posted most of the time wont turn on and the green light flashes three times every time it makes a small noise. sometimes it does turn on and you hear a little pop and the tv fires up. latley there is a really high pitch noise that will slightly change pitch if you move the tv or put slight pressure on the top or botttom rear part of the chassis. thanks for the help as I have seen that this has been posted before without mention of the high pitch noise.
I would check the set for bad connections. The high pitched sound you are hearing is the high voltage section. If the convergence IC has completely failed, that can cause this as well. Try using STK392-150 or STK392-180. Either one will sub since they are pin compatible and they both can handle more power, thus should last longer. Also, make sure that you use plenty of the heatsink compound when mounting these.
