Question about Nikon LS 2000 Film Scanner
Running xp on dell inspiron 5150 laptop, using scsi to usb converter (software installed), nikon software is also installed (ver3.1.2),
when I open nikon software, it says "nikon scan was unable to find any active devices".
Unit is turned on. and shows in device manager.
Is the unit incompatable w/ the scsi to usb converter? Or am I doing something wrong?
I have tried booting computer first, then turning on scanner. and the other way around.
The LS-2000 is a "legacy" device to XP and the Nikon software. It needs to be connected to a true SCSI bus adapter, and it's actually pretty finicky about which ones will work in XP. Sorry, you won't be able to use this with your laptop.
