About a 4 inch square in the center of the broiler does not burn after lighting. We have self cleaned the over for 4 hours but that did not help. It has been taking a long time to light but we think the igniter is going out since it takes a long time to light. We are replacing that but also noticed the broiler was not cooking even and then noticed that a large square in the center of the ceramic plate was not burning after the broiler lit.

I have a similar problem with thr F1 warning alarm that goes off at all hours of the day and night. The oven and range top work, but the alarm is driving us nuts. This happened last year and the technician could not fix the problem unless the alarm was actively beeping. Apparently the F1 code means it could be one of two things. Last year I had the circuit board replaced for around $400 and a year later the same problem! I now keep the circuit breaker off until I need to use the oven/stove and then turn the circuit breaker back on. The alarm is most annoying and when I contacted the manufacturer I was told there is no way to shut off this error alarm. Eventually, the alarm will keep going continually and I will contact the technician to replace the part. However, I do have to say that I hear a clicking sound - like the stove is trying to light - when the circuit breaker switch is turning back on.

We have had a problem with the control panel since we bought this unit. Dacor rep says to turn stove "OFF" and reset the computer. This has always worked until now. Turning back on (via circuit breaker) does not fix the "F1" probblem now. We bought this unit in 01.
