I place a disc in the player, and the sound works, but I get no other kind of display. So I can listen to the disc, but I can't watch it.

I have played DVDs on it before while driving so people can watch. Sometimes it works fine when I put it in and everything plays, but sometimes it doesn't and I just fiddle until it does. Recently I just can't get it to work even when the car isn't moving. The sound is coming out, but the picture doesn't show.

Chrysler town and country; rear seat dvd has no picture. Hear sound. Get picture and sound from Auxillary jacks so it is not the screen. Ran cleaner in player. didn't help

If you are getting sound and picture from the screen's auxiliary jacks, then this only confirms that the screen is faulty. The DVD player must be reading the picture signal as it supplying the auxiliary jacks, but the screen has failed to display the signal.

I have a Panasonic SA HT1500 Recordable DVD Home Theater System for which the sound has gone. It displays the following symptoms: 1) No sound from the amplifier but I can hear a faint pop when switching...

"No sound from the amplifier but I can hear a faint pop when switching on" That means that a component, probably an IC, had blown on the Amp final circuit.

The amp must be tested and inspected by a technician.

Vidio display not comming

Unplug everything and wait for a few minutes. It may very well also be that your TV has lost it's picture and needs repaired. Not because of anything you did. Just coincidental to you thinking you pressed the wrong button on your remote.

My DvD player is not displaying anything. I hear the sound both hardisc and dvd disc running

Check your cables and make sure your on a correct tv setting. I would try another disc and also another tv to diagnose. Try cleaning the dvd player

If you can hear sound the DVD must be playing. Check your video output settings, wiring and display.

I cannot see the video when i plug the DVD Player to my TV set. The model is AKAI ADVC-7013

start with the sound , do you have some speakers or amp that can take rca connnectors if so plug in to audio out and if you hear sound then the video is presumed ok too , likely some setting or cable issue then.
if no sound the the proc amp is shot.

Your unit has a composite output. Hook a standard TV up to this connection and try it. If you have a picture your display on the portable unit is bad. Sounds like you lost the backlight. You would need to have a tech look at this to fix it. Good luck.
